Jade passengers continue to expose bad corporate behavior

How was this different from a cruise from New York that can't go to Bermuda because of hurricanes?

And another that goes to New Orleans instead of returning to Miami because of a hurricane?

Lack of details about a passenger's medical conditions?  Nothing new.

We got $100 and went to Port Canaveral in bad weather and Nassau 3pm-9pm with the town mostly closed at 5.

But they delivered what the cruise contract requires.

Buy trip insurance.

Simple.....avoiding a hurricane is a prudent thing to do. Sailing into a virus-infected area is not.

Or, alternatively:

Avoiding a virus infected area is a prudent thing to do. Sailing into a hurricane is not!

Kinda confirms the point that PelicanBill makes.....there is no difference, apart from the compensation offered. Buying trip insurance is clearly the way to go. 😉

Having a screwed up cruise is one issue. Nothing has been said about all the people flying in and out of areas that is a hot spot for the virus. Ships in the US is banning travel from these very places.  So all the people on the jade was possibly exposed and in turn spreading thru out  the US.

Wouldn't you think the potential spread by 'all the people on the jade' might be wider than simply the US of A?? 😉

Seems to be another case of unsophisticated cruise passengers that do not understand that "ship" happens and what to expect.

I always love the whingeing about how missing a certain port caused trauma due to it being the sole reason for booking a cruise.

You are absolutely correct. They could be spreading something anywhere even if one person was infected. That is not a good thing.
