Well, now I know!  The first picture looks like a bowl of Guacamole and the second picture looks interesting.  Are you sure this is a food item?  Is this some sort of joke that you Brits like to pull on unsuspecting Americans?🤔🤭🤣

Definitely mushy peas.

I prefer to give them a miss.

I have several Texan friends on other cruise forums on CC and love y'all.

Just to let all you lovely people know that I have my old boy home with me, 1 injection for pain  and anti inflammatory tablets the vet said we should know by Friday if the injections etc are working so fingers toes and anything else I can cross. Thank you all again for your kind words.

Excellent news, fingers crossed all goes to plan

Thank you so much for the mushy peas explanation!  I will promise to try them, but I'm darn sure not going to dip a french fry into the bowl. There were a couple of items on one of the breakfast menus that I have been curious to try: Kedgeree and Kippers.  The latter always make me think of Fawlty Towers.🤣

Mushy peas to an American are probably viewed the same way as Brits see your grits!

We kind of walk past them, glance, raise an eyebrow and move on!

Now....if you want to try a real British delicacy, that has to be Marmite! Look out for it...Love it or hate it😉

Thank you for the update.

Fingers crossed that the medication works.

Yes they do but I remember my very first post asking about a Thomson cruise

and the lovely @kruzseeka put me on the right path for my first cruise ship.

@Adawn47 great to read that Frank is doing well and hope your bug you  picked up

soon goes for you ,so many nasties going around at the moment .

We are going for our Flu jab next week and the Covid  jab at a later date .We had

both last year ,I was ok but Mrs K ended up with almost a day in bed ,just like Graham

has done . So we will let our bodies fight the jabs one at a time this year ,even though

I was fine having both .

All -Take care 🙂

Oh, that's lovely Kalos 🤗 - I know we go back a long time but didn't realise it was your first cruise. I used to do a lot of posting then and we had many excellent cruises around that time.  We enjoyed the friendly, port intensive, often fly cruises with Thomson - the entertainment was excellent with fabulous warm Filipino crew.  We travelled to places we would never have imagined visiting and shared lots of info here on CC. So many people helping with port advice and friendly support.  Fond memories.  😘

You all know I am an ignoramus when it comes to computers, so I can't find out when I first posted on here, but probably not right at  the beginning.  However, I can say that I was reluctant to post my personal news, being naturally rather reticent, but you were all such a comfort to me at a time when not only were we all housebound, and not seeing friends and family but I was coping with a very poorly husband and a newly broken femur, and feeling pretty depressed. So a belated thank you to those who posted cheerful and amusing things, and your own news which made me well aware that I was not the only person having a rough time, and helped to give me back a proper perspective on life.  (Except for my views on mushy peas).
