South America is on our bucket list.  I really enjoyed your pictures and commentary.  I couldn't help but notice a European influence in the architecture of the buildings and streets of Buenos Aires.  Not sure what I expected.  Thank you for sharing!

We have been to South America three times and loved every country we visited.

The Around the Horn cruise was great.

 

Our favorite countries were Peru, Chile and Argentina.  

Around the Horn was special and we loved Buenos Aires as well as all the ports on that cruise.  Chile was more interesting than we expected.  Loved the dining in all the countries.

 

Peru has turned out to be our favorite country in SA (we haven't been to Brazil yet).  Cuzco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu was amazing.  Don't miss it.

We did Valparaiso to Ft. Lauderdale in March 2009. Someday we will go back to see the "other side".
