villager70 Posted May 11, 2020 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2020 Hi fellow Cruisers. Decided to ask for info a little early as boards are a little slow. We booked a Allure a couple days ago sailing out of Miami on 12-13. This will be our 80th cruise but have not sailed out of Miami in 20 years. We will be driving and hopefully find our way from turnpike ,thru the Tunnel ( that wasn't there) and park at terminal A. I have a couple questions. 1. Do you enter garage and drop off luggage before parking, or do you park and check luggage in garage before entering terminal? 2. We are in a Crown Loft Suite. In there a suite check in entrance at garage? Thanks in advance for any info you can give. Bob & Nancy The Villages , Florida
M&A Posted May 11, 2020 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2020 (edited) The parking garage is across the street in front of the terminal. Last time there we parked first and wheeled our luggage over to the terminal. But I think you can unload in front of the terminal drop off your bags and have your spouse stay with the bags while you park. I don't think there was a check-in entrance at the garage it was at the terminal Edited May 11, 2020 by M&A
negc Posted May 11, 2020 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2020 There is a separate suite check in area, for those suites with a genie. Your genie will meet you and your luggage and take you thru check in. If you are not in a suite with a genie, you can pull into the garage, you will be directed where to meet the luggage handlers, they will take your luggage and you will be directed where to park. You then just enter the terminal. Easiest embarkation of any port.
Rare 1025cruise Posted May 11, 2020 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2020 You might want to ask on the Florida Departures board.
villager70 Posted May 12, 2020 Author #5 Share Posted May 12, 2020 Thanks to all for your time and info. Last time we were in Miami for Royal the Soveign was sailing.
janetz Posted May 12, 2020 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2020 Sailed in January and it was pretty simple. Just head into the garage and as you go, there will be porters, they will unload your luggage from your vehicle. Then you will proceed to a parking place. Short walk to the terminal. Be sure to notice, take a picture of where you park. 😊

When you arrive stay to the left and go up the ramp to the parking garage...DO NOT stay down below and get caught up in the chaos. Once you are in the garage you will stop by the elevator and there are porters there. They will take your luggage. You then park and head to the terminal which is right there as you exit the elevator.
sandebeach Posted May 12, 2020 #8 Share Posted May 12, 2020 Porters are on Level 3 of the garage, by the elevators.
villager70 Posted May 13, 2020 Author #9 Share Posted May 13, 2020 Just wanted to thank all again for taking your time and posting this infomation. We started on these boards in 2004 and changed info so now on March 2006. People like you are what makes these boards so great. Hopefully we may meet on one of our adventures on maybe we can furnish some info for one of the other cruisers. karena1 Posted May 13, 2020 #10 Share Posted May 13, 2020 Go into the parking garage and the porters are there to take you luggage. Then go down to the terminal and there is a desk for Suite guests and they will handle you from there.
Tam Tam Posted May 14, 2020 #11 Share Posted May 14, 2020 We are also on this sailing in a Crown Loft. Once inside front door of terminal, a Royal employee will direct you to an elevator (just off to the right) that takes you to the suite waiting area. Your hand luggage will be scanned before entering the waiting area. See you there!
