Drink Package Pricing for 2021

When cruising starts up again, whether 2020 or 2021, does anyone know the prices of the Drink Packages in the US market? I have been trying to research this and all I can find is a description of what drinks are included in each Package but not the cost. It appears you may need to book a cruise prior to finding that information. Are there any current prices out there?

As anything else cruising related, my advice is that one should wait and see. I believe we will see lots of all inclusive promotions. at certain point they will need to free up some work from the crew, and do what they can to fill the ships... Hope all of this to go as quickly as possible... Have a nice day!...

MSC took the package cost amounts off the website, probably because of confusion caused by the price differences between US and non-US  based sailings.  To get pricing you now need to log into your booking.  If you purchase now the non-US sailings seem to still be $23pp per day for Non Alcoholic, $35pp per day for Easy, $47pp per day for Premium, $62pp per day for Premium Plus.  For most people on US based sailings they are still listed at $23pp per day for Non-Alcoholic, $35pp per day for Easy, $62pp per day for Premium and $79pp per day for Premium Plus.  There had been a report that MSC was very selectively test marketing different packages called Easy Plus and Premium Extra that had different costs and different included dollar limits.

As Nunagoras stated often you can get a better deal by using a promotional rate.  For the US on US based sailings this is pretty much only the "All In" rate that includes the Easy package and WiFi, and at times some OBC.  The savings value of the All In rate varies wildly by ship and season.  It is usually a much better value on Armonia than on the larger ships.  The best deal I ever saw was late last Fall on Armonia for the Spring Sailings and at the time MSC was offering $100 OBC with the All In promotional rate.  The price difference between the no frills Escape to Sea rate was only $90pp more for the All In rate.  So you got $100 OBC, the standard internet package and the Easy package for $180 total.  To me that's basically the Easy package for free.

More typically the All In package brings the cost of the Easy package to around $20 to $25pp per day, depending a bit on how much you value the internet.  Since MSC charges the exact price difference between the packages to upgrade even if you're interested in one of the higher end packages it still can be worthwhile to book All In with the Easy package to get in at a better amount and then just pay for the upgrade.  So if you find an All In deal and get the Easy for around $23pp per day and upgrade to Premium for the set difference of $27pp per day your are only paying $50 rather than the normal $62pp per day.

Thank you. I finally booked a cruise with my FCC and after adding it to My

Profile I could see that it was $245 a week for the “easy package.” In the past I booked the “all in” a few times and that package worked great for us. The cruise I just booked was a good price plus got the 5%+5% so will add the “easy package.” BTW anyone reading this, right now web site says 5%+5% ends August 20.

  • 2 months later...

I realize this is a few months old but didn't see any point in starting a new thread of things hadn't changed.

I'm going to cancel my NCL Escape April TA and am looking for something to replace it.  You know, just in case we can actually sail then (expecting my Jan HAL B2B "free" casino cruises to be cancelled and possibly my first X in March).

I sailed Divina Dec 2018 and then Armonia (to Cuba!) May 2019 and Armonia again Sept 2019.  I'm a fan of smaller ships, so Armonia suited me just fine.

As a solo, I'm looking at B2B2B starting April 19.  The cruise-only fare is amazingly low - like $62/night for a Fantastica cabin n the 4-night legs and even less on the 7-night.  When I look at the All-In, the price jumps to $140/night for a difference of $78/night.  If the Easy package is still only $35/night, then it would make no sense to book the All-In.  The Voyagers Club Offer shows double points, which would be nice, and "up to $100 OBC" but I don't see the OBC when I select the All-In option, so maybe that's only for balcony and above?

Wi-Fi would be nice, but certainly not a necessity.  I've been perfectly find with the Easy package in the past.

So, if there's any "new" info on the cost of the Easy package, I'd appreciate hearing what the cost might be.  Unless it's jumped considerably, it would appear that booking the basic fare and purchasing the Easy package would be the cost-effective approach.

Just checked our 7 night Armonia cruise February 2021 - for Easy Drink Package it still says $245 per person

Just logged in and checked our 7 Night Armonia February 2021 cruise and Easy Drink Package still is at $245 per person. We have cruised MSC many times and the Easy Drink Package has always been adequate for us.

Yes, I'm perfectly happy with the Heineken draft, an occasional rum & coke, and the included wines.

I was just stunned when I saw the fare.  The website isn't terribly transparent with the pricing.  I'm wondering if there is no solo supplement on these.  I can do a total of 15 nights for $885 in an inside Fantastica.  That's nuts!  I actually prefer an inside to an OV because I like it totally dark when I sleep.  I'm too cheap to upgrade to a balcony but if there's no vaccine available by mid-April (but we're sailing), I might be tempted so I'd have somewhere isolated to sit and read.

I decided to price it for a solo balcony and it's still only about $475 more for the total 15 nights.

And still over $700 less than booking the All-In interior.  Even with Easy for 15 nights, balcony + drink package is less.

Forgive me for going on about it.  I'm an accountant and I simply MUST run the numbers. 😁

I’m not an accountant and I run the numbers for every cruise. MSC does not seem to have prices online any more. It only shows up once a cruise is booked and then you can bring up the drink package prices. Sure hope our February 2021 cruise goes, thoroughly enjoy MSC and what they offer, last cruise was January 2020 - too long ago. We are retired, just got into the cruise mode, then covid hit, crazy!

I have a 7 day cruise that has packages in place.

$29 / day for Non-Alcoholic

$35 / day for Easy

$72 for unlimited entire cruise

If I buy any of these can I remove prior to sailing? let's say some promo happens.

Also "all in" was way more expensive than paying for two non-alcoholic plus wifi.

I also have a three night cruise but packages are not available. We're doing a weird vacation. 7 day ouf of Miami and three day out of Orlando with few says in between for maybe Disneyworld.

1) I have also recently found the “all in” much more expensive than pricing separately.

2) My suggestion would be to not add packages until close to sailing date.

3) Trip sounds great. We now cruise between MSC and Carnival and have done several “side to sides,” we cruise a 7night on one ship and get off and walk to the next ship a couple piers down, we have spent an overnight in Miami and then caught our second cruise as well. Love it. Both different experiences, enjoy both.

Turned out my TA asked me to just book them myself!  She's a top agent with Carnival and she's been so swamped with their cancellations.  Plus, they did some shifting of ships which added to the mess.  She said MSC's customer service was horrible, so I said I'd book myself online, which I did this morning.  Took all of about 10 minutes.  I ended up booking just 4+7 nights, same balcony cabin for both.

I'll keep my eye on the drink package price.  I don't buy the drink packages on other lines because I just can't justify the cost.  I like to drink but I don't drink THAT much!  But I'll happily pay the $35/day.  Especially nice to see that the package can be used on Ocean Cay.  Most private islands don't allow that.

Yes, we are happy that you can use it on Ocean Cay, the Lighthouse Bar is a great place to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery. Also allows you unlimited bottles of water, any size, flat or sparkling, helps me drink enough water on a ship. I have found that on each ship at the coffee bar, various beverages are also included, slight differences from ship to ship, we just go with the flow and enjoy whatever we can. As you can tell we feel the Easy Drink Package on MSC is great.

I just booked my first MSC and even tho I have over 60 with Royal I feel like I am going on my first ever cruise! I am a Diamond member and wondering what I can expect on a 4 day Seaside? I also think 35 a day for a drink package seems like a fair price.

Question, are we allowed to carry on any alcohol? I know each line has their own policies?

Thanks in advance!

Unlike other cruise lines,  MSC does not allow alcohol or water brought onboard. With COVID, other cruise lines May change policies going forward.

Thank you for that info! I appreciate it!

Glad to help. We are Diamond also and have cruised a lot with another cruise line also. (NCL ). Our first MSC cruise was amazing and we were  so happy that MSC started  (trying)cruising  in the US. Our cruise to Iceland got cancelled this year but, we have two booked for very late next year.
I think you will find that a 4 day cruise may be too short😜

I feel your pain 100% ...I am going through the same deal right now. In the last 2 days I have booked 5 MSC sailings...I am thrilled they are coming to PC!!!  I have yet to sail and am curious about everything! It looks like the easy package would suite me just fine! Also I normally carry my luggage on board but I suspect there may be all kinds of new rules to follow once we do get cruising again!
