Redrobo Posted August 26, 2020 #101 Share Posted August 26, 2020 We are on lockdown but no it is not far, we did have a few in Bournemouth bay, at the moment Allure , Anthem ,Jewel and Aurora. Due to the high winds we did have a rig docked in Poole, on route to the west coast to work on the wind farms.

bluemarble Posted August 26, 2020 #103 Share Posted August 26, 2020 Here's my contribution for today. This one probably also qualifies as too easy, but we haven't done this port yet.

DaisyDancer Posted August 26, 2020 #109 Share Posted August 26, 2020 The first one is probably far too easy. Hopefully the second photo will be more challenging - there is a ship there in the distance!
bluemarble Posted August 26, 2020 #110 Share Posted August 26, 2020 I think Host Hattie started something good. Just noticed this in my browser a few minutes ago. Have we ever had a "HOT!" topic in the Cunard forum before? I don't recall seeing one.

Rare Kynance Posted August 26, 2020 #112 Share Posted August 26, 2020 I’m enjoying this thread but my guessing has been woeful so far! Here are a few from me to test you - or not as the case may be!!
Ray66 Posted August 26, 2020 #113 Share Posted August 26, 2020 Is Kynance's last photo in Cartagena? I have similar photos from November 2018.

DaisyDancer Posted August 27, 2020 #120 Share Posted August 27, 2020 HH, here's a clue for this one. It was an unscheduled stopover due to very rough seas in early 2018. The ship in the distance is the QV.

naturelovergirl Posted August 27, 2020 #122 Share Posted August 27, 2020 I’ll give a clue for mine. I’m in a small but unique botanical garden above the Arctic Circle. QE in the distance.

Both the QV and QE diverted to the Azores to escape horrendous weather after being unable to reach Bermuda.
naturelovergirl Posted August 27, 2020 #125 Share Posted August 27, 2020 Correct! When you dock in Tromsø, you are out of town... so you need to take transportation into Tromsø by shuttles or excursions. We took a morning excursion to Sommarøy Island, but we had time after we came back to the ship. So we walked to the sweet little Arctic Botanical Garden near the docks. It was a great day!
