But now with the Princess Plus deal, we get the free internet, free drink package which makes it unnecessary to purchase the coffee package or use our Elite minutes.

Not "free."

It is part of the $40/day per person extra that Princess Plus costs.

But it is a discount over purchasing the items separately.

With the existence of Fast Track or whatever it is officially called, one apparently could have elite loyalty status on their first Princess Cruise.

Explain your math. The shortest route to elite I see is after 5 cruises booked as a single passenger in a full suite, 3 credits/cruise.

With Fast Track the cruise line gives a person Elite loyalty status. Apparently, this happens most frequently with Casino players, but does happen with others.

This sounds like a marketing promotion to get casino players to book a Princess cruise. I would be surprised if the promotion results in permanent loyalty status.
