Right idea but different ship. Those photos of mine were taken in Kings Court on QM2 in 2014 (before the remastering). I think they were approximately in the position shown in this post-remastering Cruise Critic photo of Kings Court.

The wall light did help. The pattern in the surface below the balcony at the very bottom of the photo is what helped me determine it was QE rather than QV.
