Kudos to Gate 1

Gate 1 cancelled our May 2021 cruise on 11/18/20. We requested a refund of the deposit and have received refund on our credit card!!!!!

well done Gate 1. Less than 10 days when most companies are taking forever to issue refunds.

I wonder if they are in a better situation since they don't own their ships. I wonder if they negotiated a great lease agreement that allowed them out without much financial loss. Regardless, kudos - they seem to get great reviews on this board for their trips and also for their customer service.

Just booked a Danube trip with Gate 1 for August 2021 and you were cancelled in May but seems they have consolidated their river cruises to only 1 ship.  Is this what happened to you or all trips cancelled.  We were booked for September 2021 but received notice they changed dates with only one ship and we rebooked August.  Originally booked September 2020 but were cancelled in May and will say Gate 1 handled everything very well.
