Smoking - sorry to ask....it’s been too long that I have cruised....I used to know this stuff.

I need to double check which side is the smoking side on Equinnox please.

I recalled it was the Starboard side....but just read something that has me thinking

its the Port side.

Any smokers from Equinnox that know for sure ?

I recall people were smoking outside on deck 5 ( which is what I am questioning) on the starboard. Side

thanks

Deck 5 Port side has two smoking sections, one by the entrance to the theater and one by sushi on 5. They briefly switch to starboard, occasionally, in early AM to swab the deck and refueling while in port.

There is smoking, at the tables only, located at the Mast Bar.

Sunset Bar, port side, at the tables and along the grass.

Smoking port side on the pool deck was discontinued two years ago.

I'm glad they did that.     It was especially an issue on Reflection where the O/V cafe was on the same deck as the pool, and when the sliders opened as people entered/exited, the smoke would draft into the buffet area, especially on a windy day.  I was on Reflection in 2013 and pointed it out to the Hotel Director.  I recommended on windy days to tape off the sliders on the port side and have them go around to the starboard side, but he blew me off saying it was a safety issue to lock off the doors.  He didn't have to lock the doors, just direct folks to the other side.  It's done all the time.

Thank you very much !

I wanted to book our room on the non smoking side. We recall one cruise we could look down and see people outside below ( we were on deck 7 I think ) and the smell was quiet heavy at times on that sailing when on our balcony.

We obviously want the Starboard side !

thank you
