Port of Miami departure/Jan 2022

Hi,

We are sailing out of the port of Miami on Jan 2nd.  We will arrive at MIA Jan 1st.  Any recommendations for a decent hotel in Miami for around $250 per night.  We have AAA and are AARP members.

Complicated question as the New Year may result in more hotel reservations. But suggest checking travel websites for a hotel that looks good to you and then check the affiliations you mentioned.

We are flying into Miami.  Have previously stayed at Hampton inn, brickel. Location great hotel just ok.  We also stayed eb hotel in Miami springs. Great hotel however poor location

What ever hotel you choose also check their member rates...sometimes their a better option.

There are other hotels in the Brickell area including a fairly new Hyatt, or look closer to the port (Intercontinental, Doubletree and the next door Marriott).  If your flight arrived late on 1/1 then save your $ and stay near the airport.

My suggestion would be to check out Hotwire.  We are also cruising on 1/2/22 out of Miami on the Radiance.  However, we fly into FLL on 1/1/22.  Hotel prices are absurd on FLL Beach (over $400 night).  However, I was able to get the Sonesta for $265  night.  Still very high, but it's our favorite hotel precruise or even for a vacation in FLL.

Glad Hotwire has worked for you...I tend to prefer to book directly with the hotel rather than involve a 3rd party....I've heard of too many bad experiences.

I've used Hotwire many times, only when there is a significant price difference as opposed to booking direct, and I have NEVER had a problem.  🙂
