$100 OBC Credit July/August Cruises

Back in May (before they knew when cruising would start) Carnival sent an email stating that anyone with cruises booked in July and August would get a $100 OBC Credit for keeping the cruise and not cancelling (assuming the cruise sailed).

Our PVP said the credit would not be visible until you are on the cruise.  Just wondering if there was any issues for those already cruised.  Was it automatically on your onboard account?

The OBC was in my S&S account when I got on the ship.

Thanks lobster for posting that. It appears that the $100 OBC is given to people with an 8+ cruise booked and do not cancel. That leaves me out as mine is a 7 day cruise. Oh well. Win some...lose some.

I'm 95% sure I received the same basic letter, though referencing my (7-day) August cruise.

5% chance I didn't receive it, but saw where someone posted it - and incorporated that into my memory!

I did a search in my email for Carnival and went back because I remembered that there was an earlier email.

Well, that will be a nice surprise if we do get it. We didn't get an email on that. We'll see once we get on board the ship. Thanks for the info!

Thanks Everyone.  Didn't think I was going crazy and dreamed that up.  Good to know it will be there once we board.

I got the letter in April and sail on Saturday. When I checked my docs today the credit is showing up already (it wasn't there last week).

PVP told me it should show up 7 days before cruise. Will check back 8/1 for 8/7 sail date

John Heald had mentioned it prior to my cruise that it won't show up till boarding and that's when it showed up.  I checked the night before we sailed and it didn't show.

I saved the screen shot where you could check cancelled cruises. And I have it that shows if you do not cancel you get an additional $100 OBC in addition to any OBC that you may already have.  So we will see if it applies once on board, not a deal breaker since we already got 600 OBC and Cheers on US.

We had a casino offer for an inside 5-day on Sunshine which came with $200 OBC for the cabin.  This was for a Nov 2021 cruise.

For some unknown reason they canceled the cruise and said they’d give an additional $600 for the cabin to rebook.  We did, moving it out a week.

I immediately received a confirmation of the new booking and it shows $800 OBC.  It’s a good thing because I would have been on the phone to my PVP otherwise.

Obviously, I’ve already  printed that to take with me because I’ve heard people have had issues.

Given the uptick of the virus lately, I hope cruising is still a thing by then because the last time I had $800 in OBC was never.
