There could be changes at Milford Sound

When we were there there was this water fall at Milford Sound of which I dont remember any other falls like this in the other sounds. The captain would not go any closer

That's Stirling Falls. 

 

We went this close on Celebrity Solstice. You can just see the corner of the bow on the bottom right. And the Captain did a 360 with the ship at that position! It was awesome!

Sounds like a great cruise.  Touring by zodiacs works well in Antarctica from small ships.
I think NZ should reduce the size of

ships and no of passengers which can go in to Milford Sound before more mega ships arrive. The pandemic has given countries time to assess protection of their environments.

WE were due to cruise Milford sound on a celebrity cruise from Perth to Sydney via NZ, we had to return to Melbourne due to someone being sick, so losing a day they cancelled our Milford sound day, big disappointment for many on board, luckily weve done it on the smaller ferry type boats previously on road trip.

Definitely better for the environment not having the big ships visiting, but maybe not the $$$ generated form the ships.
