tomat2004 Posted July 29, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2021 I got an email today which listed "New Voyages for 2022". It showed 3 new 10 day sailings for Regatta in Tahiti starting Feb. 5,2022. Also shown were Mediterranean sailings for Nautica starting April 1, 2022 through the end of June. Is this when Oceania plans to begin sailing again for these two ships. Rare mauibabes Posted July 29, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2021 Yes that is correct and if you received the email, there is a 10% off Past Guest Sale for the Regatta and Nautica sailings. Insignia sails in December to warm up for the World Cruise and Sirena in early 2022. With any luck, we are 🚢 sailing. Marina is first up and then Riviera. 👍🙏🤞 Gerry

It will probably mean port changes for the ATW but cancellation for those doing only the segments. Then, just like with Regatta and Nautica, the NZ/OZ segments will be resold with the “new” itineraries. Of course, there’s the possibility that the affected segments could just be modified like the ATW itself. But that would be a big change.
Jordans Mingy1 Posted July 31, 2021 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2021 Was told by an Oceania rep 2 weeks ago that the Nautica will be refurbished for 3 months and that my 17 day Aegean sailing beginning at the end of June, 2022 will be the first one when it returns to service. What happened? Is Nautica not being refurbished?

What happened? Is Nautica not being refurbished? Wrong. The several months refers to the time Nautica is still not cruising. The Oceania NEXT retrofit only accounts for several weeks at most. The rest of the “time off” relates to “port availability” (aka Oceania is canceling due to the original itinerary ports Covid closures/restrictions as well as O’s caution about Covid and/or political etc concerns. Jordans Mingy1 Posted July 31, 2021 #7 Share Posted July 31, 2021 Main question is still whether Nautica has already been refurbished -or- will it be updated sometime prior to the new sailings posted. How does one get a straight, honest answer?

How does one get a straight, honest answer? If you use the search feature here, you’ll find a zillion threads about Oceania NEXT in general and Nautica’s upcoming one specifically. It will be completed over a several week period at some point prior to its April 1 restart.
AMHuntFerry Posted July 31, 2021 #9 Share Posted July 31, 2021 Your TA probably got the "3 months" from a e-mail statement (referenced in an earlier thread about Nautica) that the refurb would happen during the "first quarter" of 2022. Here's the info on the plan for Nautica:https://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/nautica/ "Beginning April 1, 2022, We Invite You To Experience The Re-Inspiration of Classic Elegance In a dramatic re-inspiration process, Nautica will become a completely redesigned ship without peer. Every surface of every suite and stateroom will be entirely new, while in the public spaces, a refreshed color palette of soft sea and sky tones will surround a tasteful renewal of fabrics, furnishings and lighting fixtures that exquisitely encompasses the inimitable style and comfort of Oceania Cruises. From the bejeweled new chandeliers in the gracious Grand Dining Room to the beckoning Reception Hall, Nautica will celebrate a rejuvenation so sweeping, you will find it positively unimaginable to resist her welcoming embrace. RE-INSPIRATION BY THE NUMBERS 66 Days | $100 Million Dollars | 1,368 New Suites and Staterooms | 1,400 New Marble Bathrooms | 8,000 New Light Fixtures | 12,000 New Sofas and Chairs | 1,000+ Artisans and Craftsmen"
Rare mauibabes Posted July 31, 2021 #10 Share Posted July 31, 2021 Nautica will be in Drydock thru March and be sailing with passengers April 1, 2022. It will be the complete NEXT refurb and the last R Class ship to receive it. Wednesday Oceania released the cruise itineraries, from 10 to 24 days in the Med and Adriatic for April, May and June. IF YOU ARE A PAST GUEST, they also have a 10% off PG Sale going on to entice a booking on one of her first cruises. We are considering a May or June Nautica cruise booking as a back up sailing just in case our Fall 2021 cruises on Riviera are impacted by the Delta Varient in Europe. Got to keep planning to sail. There is/was plenty of a availability last week. 😷🙏 Gerry
john2003 Posted August 5, 2021 #11 Share Posted August 5, 2021 On the marketing presentation yesterday they described a 60 day refurbishment. I guess it doesn't have to be as concentrated when she isn't revenue producing anyway.

All one has to do is look at the original itineraries to know that port unavailability accounts for most of the time not restarting.

The 66 days mentioned was for all 4 R class ships. Edited August 5, 2021 by Aloha
Rare PaulMCO Posted August 5, 2021 #14 Share Posted August 5, 2021 Most of the heavy planned dry dock work was already done in November 2020, leaving only the cosmetic items of the NEXT upgrade. Since no passengers have been aboard her since, wonder what sort of condition she is in and if they started with the NEXT upgrade and then stopped while in Genoa. Rare ORV Posted August 7, 2021 #15 Share Posted August 7, 2021 If you got the new flyer for the New 2022 sailings take a look at page 7 and the blackjack models. Either whoever staged that doesn't know how to play blackjack or they had a nice chuckle having the guy split his 10's.
