Doing the On Line Check In for the Oasis next month ?

Recommended Posts

Anyone booked on the September 5th or 12th sailing for the Oasis out of Bayonne? As in the past we could do the Check In months ahead of when we'd sail, then when it came closer we could print out luggage tags. So far with now less than 30 days before sailing there's been no email from RCI saying that we can do the Check In. The Cruise Planner say's THEY will notify you when it becomes available.

What has been the experience of those who have been waiting to do the Check In for Florida cruises to date? I'm wondering if RCI is trying to fill the ship where Inventory shows not an abundance of cabins both inside and outside left, at least that's the first two weeks of September. Makes one wonder if they're trying to go for the 100% or close to it instead of 30%-40% capacity as been the case. Pity those who will be hoping to cruise on the Oasis in September through the month of October only to be told that now they can't due to capacity restrictions. Their Test Cruise is August 22nd, wait for the CDC's approval followed by at least eleven days of getting things ready. If goes as planned, then the first sailing would be September 5th. Mr. Richard Fain in a recent interview said that there wont be 100% capacity sailings right away, and to expect 30%-40% capacity for quite awhile when resuming. Lets see how this all plays out....

Interesting, but as a TA my DSM told me I should be able to do the Check In on the pc that's what I'm going by. So far zilch!

They really want you to use the app on your phone...but you can check-in on your PC then use app for boarding. But like I said above....neither checking in on your phone or PC was available till about 2 weeks prior to sailing. I think they are holding off closer to sail date due to protocols changing very frequently.

I'm on the 5th and got an e-mail from my TA via RCL in stating that departure time has been pushed to 6 PM and an e-mail would be forthcoming as to when to check-in.  As of yesterday, not available.

Yes, we received the same information about the extended time of departure.

A TA on our 9/12 roll call said it should open 2 weeks before our cruise.  Not sure if the same will be true for the 9/5 date.

The way things look if the test Cruise winds up to only be two days then there's 11 days before the sailing. I assume that the Oasis will have to make a stop in Miami to get provisions first.

Oasis test cruise is six nights: Aug 22-28. Takes awhile to get to Coco Cay from NJ. 😀

It’s cheaper in Florida

Not so much if purchasing is centralized.

On another thread mentioned that CDC approval would be on August 30th.  Not much time for planning vis-a-vis the new protocols and testing needed.

Six nights, are you certain? The other ships have completed the Test Cruise in hopes of getting the CDC approval in two days. Way back, I read it was the 22nd to the 28th as well, but the CDC has ways of changing their protocol. If it turns into a six night Test, then that leaves even less time to begin on September 5th. We've got to remember that current CDC protocols are set to expire on August 31st, then a whole new set of rules could apply.

We don't know yet as the check-in has not opened up yet.  I would bring the vaccine cards with photos on my phone as back up.

I was able to check in this morning for our Oasis date of 9/19

Really?  Checked this AM and not open yet.

I guess yours is more of a go as mine on the 5th may be iffy.
