dl6996 Posted August 24, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2021 (edited) Hi, I noticed Radiance of the Seas has traveled from Singapore to Cyprus and is now near Cadiz, Spain! It doesn't have any cruises scheduled till Alaska at the end of April 2022. Does anyone know if it is headed into drydock in Cadiz? Perhaps a mini-amplification? Installation of the Royal App? Interesting! Thanks! Edited August 24, 2021 by dl6996

dl6996 Posted December 10, 2021 Author #6 Share Posted December 10, 2021 (edited) Great! Can't wait till she makes her way to the west coast and California on the way to Alaska. Still months away but can't wait! Edited December 10, 2021 by dl6996

It’s not in any hurry,it’s only doing 10 knots. With a few stops it will just get to the west coast in time.

dl6996 Posted March 17, 2022 Author #14 Share Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) Yes--left Gibraltar after quick stop and now on its way to Port Everglades!! Should be there around March 27th if the trackers are on target. Perhaps to pick up more crew? Then probably through the canal and to Los Angeles. Once it gets to LA it will be ready for its cruise up the coast and on to Alaska! Edited March 17, 2022 by dl6996
Biker19 Posted March 18, 2022 #15 Share Posted March 18, 2022 Interesting that there's no update (since late 3/16) on ship tracking sites. Biker, who doesn't recall any ship disappearing like that (well, other than after being beached for scrapping).

Biker19 Posted March 20, 2022 #20 Share Posted March 20, 2022 She's being shown again on cruisemapper - moving along at 16kn and still due in Fl in a week.
dl6996 Posted March 21, 2022 Author #21 Share Posted March 21, 2022 Great!! I assume she will pick up more crew at port everglades/fuel etc and then head on through the canal! Now if they would just add Radiance to the Royal App. Not sure what they are waiting for on that.

dl6996 Posted March 21, 2022 Author #23 Share Posted March 21, 2022 Interesting, that's too bad. It would be nice to be able to check in via the app as soon as possible. Not a big deal as I guess we will just check in on WEB and then use app to board if able.
38anchor Posted March 21, 2022 #24 Share Posted March 21, 2022 We are on the first sailing on Radiance (23rd April) and I emailed Royal to see what was happening with the app last week - this was the reply... Our aim for all of our ships is to have the app ready before its first sailing. Although Radiance of the Seas is taking a bit longer than we expected, it should be ready relatively soon!
dl6996 Posted March 21, 2022 Author #25 Share Posted March 21, 2022 great! that's good to know that they haven't forgotten us. You are just a little over a month out--hopefully they will turn it on soon for you.
