Are There Any Sail Away Parties Currently???

Just wondering with the Covid protocols if they have been doing any Sail Away Parties/Invites.  Thank you.

No Cruise Critic connections party on Millennium last week.  There was glacier viewing on the helipad one morning, open to all,  and an invitation-only helipad sailaway when leaving Ketchikan.  The Roll Call was very small so I doubt if there was any sailaway get together when leaving Seattle on embark day.

As far as I know, no sail away gathering on Silhouette 06/08/21, but we were an hour late leaving Southampton, so we were already at dinner.

No connection gathering either.

None on our recent cruise. Also Captain’s Club and Retreat were not offering their normal activities. No helipad sail away, no special gatherings, behind the scenes tours, no private musical events…Not a complaint, they simply want to support social distancing.

We did a helipad sail away party on Summit out of Miami just last week.
Silent disco was heavily attended and nobody was masked up.
There was a Capt.Club gathering - but we did not attend.

Yep, just like before Covid.  The Sail Away Party will be on my balcony.

Our experience is that apart from a helipad invite, sail-away parties are traditionally organized within roll calls here.  Have you checked in to meet fellow CC cruisers in your roll call?

For our recent Alaska cruise, roll call members were to gather at sail away time at the Sunset Bar, wearing Mardi Gras beads so we could recognize each other. Six of us did so and enjoyed each other’s company throughout the cruise!

One couple missed us because the daily listed a sail away party on the pool deck so that is where they went.

Helipad was open to all on glacier day and by invitation only leaving Ketchikan.

Yes, sorry, I meant helipad invite!

We had two or three helipad sail aways on Summit a couple months ago, all by invitation.
