Ft. Lauderdale Immigration at disembarkation

We have not disembarked in Ft. Lauderdale in quite a while.

 

Do they have Global Entry lanes/kiosks?

The last time we disembarked there was in late November of 2019.  They did not have kiosks, but did have 2 lanes for Global Entry.  Only took us a few minutes to pass through.

@voljeep, I don't mind the reaction at all.  I was just backing up the answer as it seems to me not everyone is ready to believe an answer on CC unless two or three others give the same one.

When we disembarked from the Edge in August, Customs used facial recognition software to verify who you were. Took about 30 seconds.

Don’t think anyone can give a definitive answer if they will have global entry lanes open yet in the Princess terminals as they haven’t sailed from Florida yet since their shutdown here. 

Hopefully they will continue to have the Global Entry line as it was a perk that I enjoyed.

Don't follow other lines, but CBP is probably doing this at other terminals at PE already??  It's not something tied to a cruise company - it's something with the Port that CBP has been doing for some years.  Anyone know that they aren't doing this?  They might have less officers greet a ship if they are aware only 50% full.

No one has disembarked in F.L. since March 2020 when we disembarked. At that time immigration had global entry lanes. We have global entry, but the wait in other lanes was so short, a few people, that the guides sent us through one of them. Not possible to know exactly how immigration will set things up once cruises begin from F.L.

In my experience they had Global Entry lines but the cruise port staff didn’t really know about them and the lane was blocked off. We just walked through the rope and went right up. The immigration official knew about Global Entry and we were through customs in seconds.
