The RC website says port hours for Orlando on that sailing are noon-9pm.  Is that not true, are they closer to 2pm-8pm in reality?

Even if the hours are noon-9pm, actual disembarking would probably start at 12:30-1:00 with all aboard at 8:30pm.  With an hour each way, that would give you a MAXIMUM of 8 hours in the park if everything went exactly perfect and you really hustled. At $110-150 per person depending on the time of year, is it really worth it?

For next week our arrival/all aboard times are now 2pm and 7:30pm. Before all of the changes in Anthem of the Seas Bayonne departures, I had looked at trying to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but due to the travel time between ship and park, the park ticket expenses, and how much I would actually get to see standing in line half the time, I decided it wouldn’t be worth it.

I was trying to get a good look, but it was tough to see. Can you get to the starboard side, but not port, via "secret door"? Or are there just not any people out there?

The many times we've been on Athem both side have been accessible except in very bad weather condition as there is an access door on both sides.

I'm thinking the visit would go something like this ...

Any idea if there's late seating assigned dining happening on the Anthem?

We're booked for next February, but all of the cruise compasses I've seen from Anthem out of NJ since the restart only seem to list main (early) seating for vaccinated/exemption passengers, second (late) seating for exemption passengers, or My Time dining for vaccinated passengers. No second seating for vaccinated passengers.

The E is for Everyone (Vaccinated and Unvaccinated).

I don't know about Anthem, but on Oasis from NJ, the Everyone MDR areas had the tables spread out.  MTD (vaccinated only) had the tables inches apart.

Ah, I totally read "e" as people with vaccine exemptions. Your explanation makes way more sense.

So do bands even play in "MUSIC HALL" anymore? Totally has a mini house of blues vibe to it.

Seems all they do is use it as space for "activities" Bummer, I was hoping it would actually be used more as a MUSIC venue.

Loving the picture's and video! Am I the only one who keeps checking this thread every couple hours? 🤣

There is a great band playing there everyday called the Dukes.  Don't miss them

I tried to go out there while we were approaching the pier slowly. . . The doors were locked tight.

Given that you mentioned there's only about 45 children this week, we'll be in the minority for our 12/5 Anthem sailing next week with our two-year-old, which sounds pretty nice.

Do you know what the situation is for Nassau for unvaccinated guests? Last I understood, they would only be allowed off the ship with an excursion booked through RC. We're not really sure if there's specific excursions that qualify, especially given limitations for age appropriate activities. We might just stay on the ship or have only some of our party get off.

Either way we're really excited reading through your live blog. Thanks!

Hello everyone and good evening. Today was Port Canaveral day.

I left the ship around 4PM  just to get out and see what I could see. I remembered seeing a convenience store at CT6 in the parking garage. The name was Seafarers Express. I looked them up online and they sell a lot of things Cruise passengers would want. Batteries, film, snacks, beverages, toiletries etc. They were closed. I'm still not sure if it is just for crew members or open to the public.

I went over near the Disney Terminal ( CT-8,) so I can get some photos of Anthem of the Seas in sunlight. I was only off of the ship for about an hour and a half. I went back to the ship to take advantage of some 5G coverage and watch news for a bit.

Tomorrow we will be in Perfect Day at CocoCay. Independence of the Seas is scheduled to be there with us for the day. I was able to get a day pass for the Coco Beach Club. . . That should be a lot of fun.

Here are some pics from today. Thanks for tuning in.

I doesn't appear that we will be leaving at 8pm as scheduled. There are several tractor trailers delivering more supplies.

I am guessing we may leave around 10. Coco Cay is not to far so it shouldn't affect our arrival time tomorrow.

I forgot to mention that there are several places where you can get fried eggs, scrambled eggs just out of the shell. . .

I guess no breakfast being served at Johnny rockets.  Compass says opens at 1130, that's a bummer.  I always like their breakfast foods.

Thank you!  Sorry, should have been more clear - I'm looking at this same Anthem itinerary but the 2/27/22 sail date.  We're repeat cruisers, but it will be my one year old daughter's first, so hoping to sneak a quick Disney day trip in as well via shore excursion if possible (also a Disney fanatic but can't get the husband to bite on a full Disney trip quite yet, so figured the few hours we'd get there while in port could be a good little intro to Disney for her too!).

I am also on the 2.27 sailing.

It is slightly over an hour bus ride to disney so you basically lose about 2 to 2.5 hrs in travel to get there and back.  Imo not worth buying a one day ticket to enter the park if only there for 3 maybe 4 hrs at most.  Your 1 yr old wont know the difference.

Yeah, unfortunately breakfast there has never been a thing on quantum class. It’s an oasis class only thing, as far as I know.
