Cruise Documents?

When do cruise documents become available? I'm 40 days out from cruise.

I don’t believe there’s a set time but they’re coming much later now.

In September, we got ours 30 days to cruise.

We received ours yesterday for our December 30th cruise,  30 days out.

Mine also appeared (via email) exactly 30 days prior.

The bigger question is -- why do we need cruise documents? Your set sail pass is on your phone. The itinerary is on your invoice. The only thing I figure I really need to print off is my luggage tags.

I download,  not print, the documents.  I do print the luggage tags.  I skim them as sometimes there is interesting info.  Oh yes, the emergency contact phone number is included.  I used that when I got a replacement passport in Copenhagen the day before sailing to provide them with the new passport number.
