Thanks guys for your posts. I too have been following your discussions. Everyone likes a good repo 🙂

Ditto for me too, waiting to see what comes here from Asia in 2025/2026.

We are on Quantum from Singapore this year and hoping for Voyager next year.

The Discovery Princess Singapore to Sydney is too long for us at 16 days, but Royal seem to keep theirs at 12 days.

Very Interesting.

It will be interesting to see how Sir Richard gets back to Greece in April.

Plus the Princess World Cruise from Oz.

Not to mention the ones before, in between and the cruises after.

That trouble in that area will be around for a while, they seem to hold a grudge pretty well that mob.

Serenade is due to go through there in April . Then Anthem and maybe Voyager.

There never really a perfect time to go that region. Though some times slightly more safer than other times. I've been pretty lucky as I have managed to get through most of the middle East except for Iran/Iraq in 2005 and then I went back to Egypt/Jordan in 2012. I've never cruised through the canal though.

No, don't do fb.

Have booked airfares also, Qantas from Sydney, 3 nights in Singapore.

One of the Travel Agents based in Sydney which may have been owned by Royal is selling a package to The Holy Land ion Odyssey of the Seas in October. This cruise has been changed to Greek Islands etc for a few months now.

We looked at that one pretty closely too, but it is a bit more of a wandering repo. If we were going to add that, we may as well sell-up and live out of a suitcase in 2025. We are also bouncing around the possibility of one of those good-ole group anniversary cruises to PNG at around the same time.

We are looking for something to tip us over into Diamond land, but it might take something new to do it. Now that Royal has lost the local music charters, it will take something new and interesting.

MSC Poesia was supposed to be in the Suez next Tuesday but has just headed out past Gibraltar. They are on a largely South African itinerary anyway but have skipped some of their med ports to accommodate the changes.

The next large ship will be Island Princess, and her Suez schedule on 21st March will be a key indicator. Her world cruise departed Port Everglades last Wednesday, and at this stage the itinerary is intact. The cruise departs LA next week and visits Sydney along the way on14th Feb. Dubai is one of the sector ports and would have to be dropped if they are going via Cape Town.

Current cruise shipping in the gulf. Not surprising, with just Silver Moon parked-up in Egypt and 3 in Dubai.

Somehow I have a feeling Icon of the seas won’t be coming through the Suez Canal anytime soon.

QLD Ports shipping page. It is rather searchable with a little bit of practice.

Thanks for this site Geoff!

I notice on this page Vision Of The Seas 24/25 season is the booking name for 3 cruises Cairns and Port Douglas.

I do not know if they are traces from Brilliance being here next season.

I seem to recall there were Vision of the Seas pings in Darwin and maybe Port Hedland or somewhere in WA. These were beyond existing schedules at the time, but there should be an itinerary for those dates by now if there was to be a ship there. Carnival had planned to have Luminosa (or another ship) in Brisbane fulltime in 2025. That has since been canned, but they still have regular port bookings for her through the winter of 2025. I think the redundant bookings just linger until they are on the horizon, and someone bothers to delete the entry.

It’s a little hard to work out that website.

Is It listed in cairns or the anchorage?

Normally we know the proposed Aussie release date by now. I am predicting mid Match.

Vicky Freed says April for the remaining deployment ,I would say that’s us.

She still has Ovation deployed in Hawaii and Quantum in Alaska.
