When you apply points to a cruise how long until it is applied? did it 3 days ago.

How far out is your cruise?  I think they show up about 6 weeks before the cruise. 
 

You can call and ask that they make them available sooner.

I did the same thing and waited and waited. Finally called and they told me it would show up something like 14 days before the cruise. I had asked when it was 16 days out and the next day it showed up. Not sure if my call pushed the guy to start something or it was just a coincidence but it's there now.

Ours has pretty much been right at the two week mark before the cruise. We've applied OBC with points on three cruises so far this fall, and only once did we get the OBC applied before the two week mark.

They supposedly post them in the order they receive them, but they try to make sure that points are posted at least 2 weeks prior to your cruise.

They changed a while back to issuing them 2 weeks before the cruise.

 

When I had the card, I could call or even put a note in the comment when requesting the points to issue them immediately.  And they usually showed up in a day.

If they wait till 2 weeks before the cruise to apply them...how does it work when you have to have the cruise paid off 3 months before  your cruise.

Wondering the same.  I suppose if you pay off, they issue a refund to your card for the overpayment?

I was talking about using them for OBC.

 

If you apply them to your cruise fare, it is within a couple of days.

Oh, good to know.  We have just done this for the first time to be applied to cruise fare.

You should see it within two days. I have seen it the same day or next day also.

Well, it took more than two days....more like three....

due to COVID no doubt

Have done this a few times and at first it did not appear until the final due date for payment. But the last one we did was about three weeks after we applied. The process is a little more automated now so maybe that makes it easier to see it sooner.
