OK.  I just tried the HIA, you are right it doesn’t apply.  Then I went back to my booking confirmation.  Club Orange is, indeed, $25 pp per day on my 7 day Koningsdam cruise in March.  I thought it was less because I expected to pay the VF rate and the guarantee was at the VH rate.  CO fee was lumped into the journey fare.

We were not getting promotions recently, either. But, we used to get them frequently. I just now logged on and checked the "Contact Preferences" under my "Profile". It showed me "Opted Out" for everything but Instant Messages, which I can't receive. 🙂  So, I just turned "Opted In" on for email. Should work. 

 

Maybe HAL did some maintenance along the way and it changed the preferences... or, at some time I didn't want email....

That hasn't worked for me in the past but hope it works for you.  One thing that has seemed to work for me is to contact the Mariners Association and get them to remove the marketing hold on your account.  That said sometimes that doesn't work great if a have a couple cruises booked.

Thank you for the heads-up. I guess I'll have to wait for the next promotion notice on CC. If I don't get the email, I'll contact the Mariners assn.

We have been opted in for YEARS and never receive marketing emails.. and we are 4*... and it's been almost 5 years since we have received snail mail marketing...

Not complaining just an observation. My hypothesis marketing by HAL is hit and miss at best..

Have you checked with the Mariners society to see if you have a marketing hold?  That has done the trick for me as long as I don’t have multiple cruises booked.  That said I usually find the Mariners discount for close in cruises, like a few months away.  I don’t find discounts for cruises years out.

@Florida_gal_50 Thank you so much for your suggestion, turns out that because my husband who is older opted out and apparently that shut down EVERYTHING for our home..so I just opted him back in and now we are good to go..

A shout out to the OP and others who posted this info about the BOGO 1/2 off promotion for 3 Star Mariners.

 

We are 3 Star Mariners and did not get the offer but we just priced out an April TA and it was eligible so we booked.  Fare comes out to $83 per person for a balcony guarantee.  And yes, we are fine with obstructed view balcony.  We are in!

 

Another reason to love Cruise Critic!  Thanks for sharing the info!

I am curious which TA?  I have been attempting to see if my TA is eligible and I don't see anything.  We are three star, I double checked and we are (and have been) opted into email promotions but I am not showing this sale.  Is there a trick to this?  Thank you.

 

I have cleared caches, tried both accounts and two browsers on two devices.  Any hints?  Thank you

Are you logged in?  The private rate comes up for both Rotterdam and Nieuw Statendam for me only if I m logged in.

Good on Select cruises through May of 2022.  You may have to call HAL and have them give you a quote.  If yours is an extended TA it may not be included in the promo.  Will private fares come up on any cruise in that time frame?  The promo is good for anybody 3 star and above, not only for people who got the e-mail.

We booked the Nieuw Statendam 4/17/22 14 night TA today with the 2nd person paying half fare. 

 

I never received the 3 star offer but asked the travel agent if it was valid for this cruise.  She checked and the answer was yes.  And it was not a jacked up rate with the 50% off...It was the legit per person rate and then 1/2 off the second guess.

I looked up that exact cruise.  No second person for half price.  I do have private pricing on it.  I never received the email.  I guess it’s a super secret sale.

My HAL reservationist found this offer yesterday when I was booking Rotterdam Transatlantic FLL/AMS April 16-May 1 2022.

 

We don't use Have It All but I did get the Casino promotion rates. I did not realize it was for 4 & 5 star. The cruise was dirt cheap for us. We were content with an outside "F" guarantee, but I think it applied to all cabin/veranda/suite categories.

My travel agent had no problem finding the 3 star rate and booking the cruise.   I also did not receive an info about this special rate from HAL but did not cruise critic and my travel agent took care of the rest.

 

My advice is to ask a travel agent to do the legwork and book it!

Try a travel agent.  The fare is out there.  And for us, an awesome opportunity.
