You were lucky.  Our honeymoon cruise was booked on 'Carla C' in 1974.  But when we boarded, we were on Costa 'Italia' – we later learned that 'Carla C' was a lemon of a ship, broken down more often than seaworthy...

From what I have read Carla C and Carla Costa were the same ship- my cruise was in 1988.  It had a rather garish decor but the food and service was amazing.  One of our table mates worked for Heinz Ketchup.  Every night, our waiter would bring a bottle of Heinz wrapped in a napkin and present it to the gentleman like a bottle of wine waiting for his approval. Just one of the memorable things that happened in the dining room.

Also, we were initially told that we could only go ashore in Grenada and Barbados with an O tour or an approved tour company. That has changed for Barbados and we are now free to wander on our own.

Turns out this was fake news as we can only go ashore in Barbados with O or by using an approved tour guide. Yesterday in Grenada there were plenty of taxis to take you wherever you wanted to go. Let’s see what happens today.

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks. If see any official re: port stops can you ask why You docked in Grenada but Marina cancelled stop for March with no port substitute? Doesn’t make sense.

Wouldn’t at this time.  Even before would want to meet someone first (lunch/coffee)before wanting to share a dinner table.  Could be a long evening.

Especially long evening if someone insists on talking about politics. I don't want to hear it even if I agree with their opinion.

Favorite thing about this cruise is being able to book a table for 2 in almost any specialty restaurant on any night  due to the reduced passenger numbers. We are taking full advantage of this. We have seen no issues regarding masking. No reports that we know of that people are being quarantined. No Covid testing prior to stops at any ports. A very relaxing cruise.

20 oz no problem. 32oz, now that’s a challenge 🤪

Ate the 32 oz at the Polo Grill back in Dec on Riviera (12/13-23/21). Of course, you do cut off the fat and gristle of a Porterhouse. But I ate all the meat. It was delicious.

Did one person eat the while 20 ounce steak? Did they have to be rolled away from the dinner table in a wheelbarrow? 😛

A fellow shipmate sitting next to us ordered the 32 oz. Prime Rib!  I ask if I could take a picture.  He said it was great but only ate a little over a half before he gave up!
