Newbie to RCI on Anthem

Hello,

We're experienced cruisers on other lines but this is our first cruise on Royal.  We'll be on the Anthem of the Seas in late March.  Any suggestions of must do's or things to be aware of?

 

We have any time dinner and will probably just get the classic soda package as we are not big drinkers.

The free versions of Riocord and Northstar are on port days.

Bumper cars are fun, check to see when they are running.  Seaplex is a fun area, they have different things going on along with the bumper cars.

This thread should answer all your questions.  At the very least, it will keep you reading for a while.  The Cruise Compass scans are incredibly helpful and should show you just about all that's going on.

 

We're on the sailing on the 13th on Anthem, will be our second time on her.  She's big and beautiful, you should have a blast.

Thank you so much for the link to that review.  It helps a lot.  The one thing I'm not too keen on is making reservations for Windjammer.  I'm used to just going to the buffet whenever I felt hungry.  Can anyone tell me how easy it is to get a reservation there last minute?

@smeesme - I don't think we'll have to deal with that at all.  With the new CDC guidelines that just came out easing restrictions, I'm thinking the only difference will probably be that crew will be serving people in the buffet for a while, but it will be come and go as you please.  And even if that weren't the case, as I understood it from other threads, the reservations were kind of nonsense.  Most reported that they had no problems just walking in as normal.

No reservations were required for Windjammer. Sometimes they had people scanning their Seapass cards on entry, but that was it.

If you are a coffee drinker, consider getting the refreshment package. It offer a lot more than the soda package . . .
