Charges for room service

Trawling through all the P&O information it seems that there may now be a charge for room service breakfast, although it does also say breakfast room service is complimentary. Confusing!
Can anybody who has been onboard recently advise if there is a charge or not?

We will be aboard Arcadia in June and do enjoy having breakfast delivered.

Thanks for any information

This was Iona in September.

There was no breakfast room service charge on Britannia in August.

We get room service breakfast every day and I always give the delivery waiter £2 tip but I don't when there is a service charge.

No charge on our last cruise either,  although,  to be frank,  the breakfast was poor.

Better to go to the buffet and "grab and go" and take what you want back to your cabin.

Strangely enough,  it always seems to be me going to the buffet,  whilst my wife makes the tea !

Thanks for that. We were on Britannia in November and there was no service charge. We have always tipped for breakfast service too.
Maybe others with more recent experiences can advise.

Good idea to nip to the buffet. We like breakfast in the cabin - particularly on the first morning when the buffet can be a bun fight!
pits just odd that there’s a charge on some ships and not on others.
well it’s a minor detail, just glad to be getting onboard.

We are on Arcadia next month. I'll try and remember to see if there is a charge.

Thanks - have a great cruise. I get worried regarding the rumours regarding P&O selling off Arcadia and Aurora . They are our preferred ships in the fleet.

Hello every one long time reader first time poster I believe that although the breakfast is complimentary there is a delivery charge of £2.50 which is visible at the bottom of the menu

There was a charge on Iona last August but not on Ventura in November. Seems to be no consistency!

I believe they re doing a number of things different on Iona of which the room service charge for breakfast is one.

Reading, this and other cruise forums, the feedback for both these ships have been less than impressive.

Having been on the truly awful Oceana twice, (another Carnival Corp hand-me-down from princess) I was very happy to see her go.

.

Considering Arcadia and Aurora haven't been anywhere other than sitting in Torquay for two years don't see how there have been unimpressive reports unless the crew decided to start a blog!

I think that's an Iona menu, apparently Britannia is different and maybe Ventua and Azura as well.

Yes there was a £2.50 breakfast charge on our Iona cruise and there was no hot items.

With our 8.5% loyalty discount it worked out at £2.18.

We have sailed on every P&O ship and that was the first time we had a breakfast room service charge.

On Royal Caribbean the room service continental breakfast is free and the good hot breakfast was $7.95.
