Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends...

Feel free to post plenty of food porn, helps whet my appetite!

Round up @KmomChicago, @IntrepidFromDC, and the gang. We'll be happy to follow along on another cruise. Oversaturation of all these reviews by @jimbo5544 and @Saint Greg ( just kidding!).

Really hope you have a great cruise @WhaleTailFlCruiser!

So I booked this cruise in January off of a deal and got onboard for $600'ish. Carnival picked my cabin and put me on Deck 5 smack dab in the middle of the Family Harbor area..... Cruising solo and they stuck me in the middle of the family harbor area lol.

Anywho My test is scheduled for Thursday so I won't get super excited until that is over with.

If you let them pick the cabin, you get what you get

Wow - from JH

I just spoke with the guest services manager who informed me we have 500 diamond guests, 1500 platinum guests and I will share the rest of the count of gold, red and blue next week. Thank you to all of you, regardless of how many times you’ve cruised who have chosen to be on this special 50th birthday celebration with me.

Yes I am aware and it doesn't really matter to me as long as I am onboard.

I'm actually kinda super interested to see how you like that location and if you end up hanging around or getting snacks in the lounge because, included. Why not?

Also harbinger of what is to come on a ship like this with a massive family area during low demand times.  By this time next year spring break may put enough littles on board to fill up Family Harbor but demand is still depressed for obvious reasons just now.  Still there will always be those late-summer/early fall weeks and that six or so weeks after the new year that are largely kid free. Might be creepy to find out your exclusive haven is full of a bunch of old socially awkward singles (present company excluded, of course).

I still have trouble wrapping my head around these people who have hundreds of cruise days and top tier status with multiple cruise lines. Trying to imagine cruising that much.  I hope the Sailabration is epic for all the super loyals and I'm really glad for all of you  that it was able to proceed after the chaos of the last 2 years.

We're graduating from Ruby Plus (not a thing) to Gold here coming up on this next one, but I don't truly think we will get past that. It took us 5 years to get here and while we are in a 12 month period of going overboard (25 days in less than one year's time), that is a reckless response to the pandemic austerity and other stresses and won't continue. I do realize some people are genius at finding bargains and of course there is this whole casino deal thing that I can't seem to get into which I still can't tell if I am saving money by paying advertised prices or if I would do better to lose cash at a slot machine and sail for cheap.

I guess maybe if we lived a lot closer to a port but it's more about how often you can realistically travel and how much you prioritize ships over other types of vacations.

Then again I suppose I have trouble understanding how anyone richer than me actually lives. LOL

Many are gamblers. It's what they do.

A number are retired.

Some just need a life. 🙂

When everyone has priority, then nobody does. And boy howdy will some of them scream about that.

Same, But if we did the Veriflyed stuff why do we still have to show and bring all of our other stuff? It feels like we got verified for nothing.

Hopefully they have worked out the training for the VeriFLY to be enough and save some time. With some people it takes several minutes to verify paperwork and VeriFLY is supposed to simplify that and save up to 5 minutes per person. Paperwork is for backup if the system has a problem etc..

I also checked in really late and my arrival appointment isn't until like 12:30-1pm........ I have a friend in Orlando that I am leaving my car with and they have to drop me off at the port around 11:30 because they have to go to my side of the state for an event lol. Hopefully they are lenient.

You shouldn't have to. I'm not planning on it. But what if your phone malfunctions?
