Yes you do but if your room is on the other side of the ship than the statue you won't see her from your room.  You would need to go up on deck to do so.  I've sailed the Breakaway twice out of NY with the same ports.

But you'll get to see her on your return to NY.

After a quick OSH "Country Breakfast" - we packed our towels & headed downstairs to do priority tendering on Deck 4, as the strong east wind didn't stop us ... on a somewhat choppy ride on Norway I to go ashore at 10:45. We also picked up our roaming 4G cellular signal but couldn't lock on to it at GSC. My Signal Spy did picked up a # of solid WiFi signal too, but couldn't use ship's included WiFi coverage either. A bummer.

There are numerous loungers, vacant under the sun to choose from, as well blue clam shells, we picked the vented one just behind one of the lifeguard station.  Costs to rent was $45 and signed the charges to our Onboard Account, didn't have to pay cash on the spot.

Taco station wasn't far from our "tent" mini city, choice of beef or chicken or fish, with soda & beers available for sale.

Please do not allow small children to play unsupervised in the water, as it's a steep slope & drop deep. A 2 to 3 years ago almost had a drowning incident less than 75 yards from us, while his mom had her back turned or distracted. A fellow cruiser nearby grab him out of the water as he saw arms going up, being a few steps away as dad on the beach realized what happen & dash out to swim toward the son, just as the lifeguard on duty jumped off his high chair's post and also started his rescue swim. Nothing serious and it's all fine, little boy was crying a bit. It's the 2nd time we witnessed a near-miss, last one was over at the cove basin on the far side, a few years ago.

More GSC photos. RCL has 2 ships docked at their island pier today, including Anthen of the Sea. We didn't go check out the villa areas.

"drink package does not work on GSC"

The above statement is not true. UBP is valid at Great Stirrup Cay..

Correct, UBP is valid at GSC if one has the package. Not everyone has it and it's fine to get a soda or beer, etc & charge it against the onboard account. Food is free, we didn't feel like walking over to the main area to explore the BBQ & other variety of free food served - tacos were free & fine as a quick bite as lunch for us.

Currently heading to Nassau at 5 knots, a series of Z turns - port is going to be very busy with 6 ships scheduled today.

We walked right up without reservation at 6:30 into Tropicana MDR, not too busy & we're promptly given starboard side table by the window seating 2.  Eating light - Asian noodles salad, Grilled Red Snapper for her & mine with the Mediterranean Sirloin Beef were good, finished off w a fruit plate & warm bread pudding.

There're good last minute availability for Speciality Dining w just 1,700 passengers and a crew of about 1,600 including officers. Taste MDR remains closed this week due to occupancy level or low passenger counts.

Latitude Reception to welcome folks back is 6:30 pm on Thursday evening as we leave Nassau to head home

The crew is looking forward to next month's T/A as some will be at the end of their 6 months contract and will have a shorter flight to fly home from Europe.

We really haven't fully explore the ship but will do that in the next 3 days.

Here is Day 5's Freestyle Dailies - Nassau arrival @ 7 am, All Abroad no later than 5:30 pm local time and sailing home at 6 pm.  By 5:45 pm - if not sooner, names of Pier runners called out over ship's PA system to contact Guest Services ... 🥵

I think I'm a day behind or you are a day ahead.

In any case, enjoy your last couple days especially being sea days ... killing us with the food pictures.

Haha ... Arrrh, wishing you are here, huh.

Good morning & warm greetings from Nassau and we are here, allow us to share Sky's arrival now.  She's backing into the cruise pier, slowly & carefully.

Switched off WiFi and using BTC's fast 4G LTE cellular signals.

Mking8288,

Thank you for your time and insight to what to expect this Sunday 4/03.

Back in October left on Breakaway for Bermuda from NYC.

Occupancy was about 1400 at the time.

Glad to here the Occupancy is about half.  Not saying the same for the crew who are and have been taking a financial beating.

@AJ1996 - Glad this is helpful to the next group of CC'ers on the GA.

The officers and crew are simply wonderful and super happy to see us onboard.

Thanks to Intel from Sharon, The "P" - expect more pax since bookings are up, prices are low & the vaccinated are on the move cruising more - mid April's sailings will see 3,000 pax on the ship.  Still nowhere near full.

There are about 88 Latitude Sapphire members this week - first welcome back cocktail tonight.

This place is buzzing with life and happy faces, beach towels in tow - lined up for boat rides to the nearby beaches & Blue Lagoon Island for the day.

Unlike ship's basic, paid, unlimited non-streaming WiFi, this is blazingly fast LTE signal - Google Fi coverage is great in 200 countries 👍 😎
