I know Seabourn is more expensive but one reason I like sailing on them is because gratuities are included and distributed to all staff. We also have been known to contribute to the Crew Welfare fund which we know of times on cruises they use it to host a crew party behind the scenes or even help crew who need to go home in an emergency.

Actually a few years ago I saw a Princess staff contract they were required to hand all cash tips in, no matter what had happened with auto tips.

They do. 

When the checks and balances are done, the relevant amount is returned to them.
