Apparently Andy got promoted to CD before covid. Right when covid happened. But didn’t want to come out as a new CD on one of the first ships to return so he requested to come back on as comedy host then got re-promoted to take the last ship returning to service.

It's sad but I didn't realize what Memorial Day was for until a few years ago when someone posted an informational thing online about it. Growing up they didn't really ever tell us in school, and despite having my Dad be retired Military, and various other family members in the Military, it somehow never came up what exactly the day was for. I literally thought it was just like 4th of July because it tends to get lumped together in all the stores.

We were visiting at a small town rural cemetery today for family members. There was a three generation family of 14 there who were in a circle holding hands and praying around the unique (statue of a soldier) marker at a grave site. Later they were walking around the cemetery and we remarked to the man how unusual the marker was thinking he was family.

He said no, we don’t know them. We just picked this cemetery this year to teach the kids about the meaning of freedom and what it costs. He was an ex marine and we were visiting the grave of my husbands cousin who was killed in Vietnam.

Ha. Guy on the left. “I was in my last year of college.” Where are you from? “Michigan. Go Blue”

Someone asks where he went to school. I forget the name but Some kind of school of dance. Not Michigan. But go blue. That’s why college is pro now.

More detail on the piano bar he also sang friends in low places.

more detail on the ISP duck point beach they were celebrating Matt’s (playlist guy on the right) birthday. And Andy was encouraging as many crew members as possible to do the polar bear challenge.

I would think whatever they have to do can be done before you get there. I don’t think you check your own bags in at the airport. I think that’s done for you before you get there unless I’m misunderstanding it.

I used Port Valet on my cruise from Seattle.  Was able to sign up on board and got my plane boarding pass and airport luggage tags in my cabin.  Attached my luggage tag to my bag and put it out the night before and then didn't see it again until baggage claim back home in Chicago.  It was fabulous.  The other nice thing was that you got a free pass if your bag was overweight.  I get a free bag checked with my AA cc, so only had to pay the $20 fee which got charged to my S&S card.  Totally worth it since I got to wander Seattle suitcase free until my 3:30 flight.

True, but the people on board went through metal detectors when they boarded and at ports upon return to ship. If you use Port Valet the same can't be said. I see the FAA coming for Port Valet. Check in agent: Did you use Port Valet? Yes? You'll need to go get on that looong line over there before I can check you in. That'll be the end of Port Valet.

What does that have to do with putting your bags out at night?  You don’t know what happens to them for 12 hours.

It’s weird with the chairs facing this way I feel like I’m taking the stage.

Looks like you are off stage waiting to walk out to the original Merv Griffin set.  Rule of thumb, you CAN NOT have 2 animal acts on the same show...
