Long time Princess folks who have decided to give Celebrity a go on the Equinox in Aug.

Went back 30 pages unsuccessfully looking for the answers to a couple of questions.

Does the Equinox (or any other ship) have passenger self service laundries?

Are we allowed to take a 12 pack per person of canned soft drinks aboard either at embarkation or during port stops?

Welcome to Celebrity, Bgwest

No, Celebrity does not have self service laundromats onboard... only the valet service.

As for bringing beverages onboard, bring as many soft drinks as you wish, but only to bottles of wine.

While this may be different from what you've experienced in Princess, you're in for a great and I hope you'll have a wonderful cruise 😉

We were on the equinox earlier this month. There are no self service laundry facilities. There is a ship laundry which did a good job, but is expensive. We are X newbies also (10 HAL cruises).  I understand that that none of X ships have self service laundry.

The newer Princess ships do not have a laundry either.

There is an important difference about bringing wine on board Celebrity.  Two bottles but no corkage if consumed in your cabin.  Unless a special bottle with AI fares no benefit in bringing on board

Last, without a drink package, alcoholic beverages are much more expensive on board Celebrity compared to Princess

Welcome to Celebrity.

Do you by chance have a beverage package included in your booking?  For example, the classic beverage package, which so many folks have, includes canned soft drinks.

No beverage package. We booked the “bare bones” fare rather than the all inclusive.

No to self laundry. Yes to soft drinks. Alcohol can only be brought aboard on embarkation, but AFAIK, soft drinks can be brought aboard any port. We just did the British Isles from Amsterdam. The ship was stocked in Amsterdam, so no “real” Diet Coke, so we bought a few at our first British port, no one said anything to us about bringing them on.

We were just on the Majestic and there were laundry facilities on her.  Just across from our cabin to be exact.
