I can verify that it worked for me - good deal - for the Feb 2024 Italy, Adriatic, & Greece Itinerary, as we booked today.  $25 deposit and no final payment until summer.   Our TA said she's been absolutely swamped since yesterday - super high demand.  I guess Viking's promos are working.  The 2024 dates were particularly popular as Viking usually doesn't give the promos a year or more ahead of time.

Another sign of Viking's idea of loyalty....

My sister who currently has no future Viking trips has received 5 Viking brochures this month with another one (2023 Great Lakes) coming later.

I have two rivers for later in 2023.  My first one is coming later.  It's also on the great lakes.

 

She gave me 4 today.

One of her brochures had code WMD23 for 2023-24 Oceans on the Mediterranean (already mentioned)

2024 river cruises has FR23

2023-2025 has EBD (Isn't a EBD discount like getting a initial deposit for $25?)

2023-2024 River cruises also FR23

I tentatively booked this same cruise. They are trying to give me a much earlier final payment date. May I ask you when your final payment is due? Did you just ask them to extend it and they agreed? Thanks!

You're right down the road from us (well, a little bit)!

Final payment due date usually depends on if you have another cruise already on the books.  If so, you can often negotiate to get the payment date extended to anywhere from 6 to 9 months out.  We have several on the books and have taken several cruises thus far,  so our negotiation cred was probably pretty good.  Yes, I asked, or rather had our Travel Agent do the negotiation.  It is never certain but this time we did get 6 months out.

We've been able to negotiate later payment dates twice when we just wanted to get the payment into a new tax year.  I'd ask for a couple of business days into the year and they'd say "Take a month"

Wow! That’s a nice savings. Interesting that they are charging $10k more pp for Neptune.  🤞that a similar promo will be offered for 2024/25

Good savings, but a bit of smoke and mirrors. The promo does not appear to include several of the inclusions in the "standard" WC offering - SSBP, gratuities, luggage forward and visa service.

 

It's a solid deal if you don't want SSPB or visa service, both of which are noticeable $. If you did want to include them, my quick calc suggested the deal was a reduction of a few thousand dollars (nothing wrong with that, either, but a long way from the marketing). 🍺🥌

Yeah, I missed that it didn’t include the usual perks-Jim from last years WC who we met on the Iceland Welcome Back cruise-pointed it out to me. Hard to believe that Neptune is worth $10k per person more than Sky.
