ALWAYS CRUZIN Posted July 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2022 MSC cruises out of Florida all go to Mexico. Two days on the island. One cruise would be enough. No other choices. We only cruise out of eastern Florida. Been to Mexico so many times. Why not other ports?
ALWAYS CRUZIN Posted July 14, 2022 Author #2 Share Posted July 14, 2022 Never mind. I was looking at 7 day and certain months only. I now see there are many choices. Oops
wcook Posted July 14, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2022 While there are some other choices that you found, MSC offerings in the Caribbean are still a bit weak. Hopefully that will change soon.

Their Caribbean cruises, for that reason, are extremely boring. Wish they’d do proper, longer, Caribbean cruises to the ABC islands, for example.

Wish they would do Bonaire instead but, this will be OK. 12 day repositioning cruise .

Looking at other cruise lines who offer sailings to the ABCs from Florida, rather than having to do them on repos.
Nunagoras Posted July 15, 2022 #7 Share Posted July 15, 2022 MSC has a very limited set of ships in the Caribbean right now, compared with the competitors. They want to expand their fleet there for the next years to come, so await a little bit and they'll to have a larger option set one day!...
JT1962 Posted July 15, 2022 #8 Share Posted July 15, 2022 The Divina will offer longer itineraries starting this Fall that include Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Belize, Mexico and Ocean Cay.
Rare Beamafar Posted July 15, 2022 #9 Share Posted July 15, 2022 That 17 night one on Divina would still class as a B2B as it returns to Miami mid-cruise.
Homosassa Posted July 15, 2022 #10 Share Posted July 15, 2022 Before the Covid shut down, MSC offered many cruises that cruised to the western Caribbean, the ABCs, Central America ports, and Colombia. We did several, the cruises were 7 -12 days and, no, they were not back to backs. Since the restart, their itineraries have been limited and short in length. Let's hope that as thing get back to normal and MSC can start including the passengers from around the world that added to the international feel of the cruise, the itineraries become more interesting and longer. (Please, MSC, bring the Armonia back to Tampa with its longer cruises.)

I thought the OPs original question was why MSC only went to Mexico and Ocean Cay, not about B2B cruises. They do go other places and book longer cruises as one booking, even if it returns to the original port mid-cruise. But they offer itineraries that are longer than 7 days that are nor B2B and visit other ports besides Ocean Cay & Mexico: Edited July 15, 2022 by JT1962
HipHipOnAShip Posted July 15, 2022 #12 Share Posted July 15, 2022 Since Covid it's been about going to ports of call that would accept cruise ship passengers. As things continue to open up we can hope for expanded offerings - back to Grand Cayman, for example. But since itineraries are put out months and even years ahead the cruise lines are sticking to tried & true.

MSC does have some very nice Lesser Antilles cruises out of Barbados/Guadeloupe/Martinique. Excellent 7 and 14 day itineraries.
