Complimentary stateroom

I know every week I have a new question but I got a email from casino royale offering me a complimentary interior stateroom. Is this basically a free cruise? Has anyone ever done this and is there a catch or hidden fees? I have to book by next Friday to get this offer.

If you accept the free offer (no upgrade) then you will pay taxes, port fees and gratuities.  I don’t think you will receive any C&A points unless you upgrade. The offer will be for the lowest interior category.

My friend is on her second cruise through the casino offers.  Yes, you have to book quickly, and pay port fees and taxes, I think.  The ship/date/itinerary is fixed.  As a matter of fact I am joining her in September on the Allure for her complimentary cruise.

I think it's offered when you rack up 2,500 points in the casino.

Yes, free except for port fees and taxes.  The offer is for 2 adults, both free cabin fare.    Yes, you do earn C&A points just like any other cruise.

You can ask to upgrade and pay the difference based on casino rates ( not the same as royals website).   We usually get great prices on upgrades but it depends on how booked up the sailing is.

You do earn C&A points, even double points as a solo.   I've done 5 in the past year.   You pay port charges, taxes, and the gratuity.   One time I wanted a cabin near forward elevator on a certain floor on Allure and had to pay an extra $34.00 because it was a bit higher class than the balcony they had in the offer.   Most cruises I lose $200 to $500 in the casino, but once I came out $900 ahead.   So I figure I am getting some very cheap cruises.    Only the high airfares have me not booking more right now.

We are doing this with our cruise this week.  Like it is said above, it's just taxes, port charges, and gratuities.  Now here's the cool part -- both my husband and I each got an offer.  Even though we are in the same household, we were both allowed to use one offer, so I booked my mom and I in one cabin and my dad and my husband in the second.  The cabins are next to each other, so we are just going to switch.  So we got four cruise fares for free.  The total for taxes, port charges, insurance, and gratuities was $400 per couple.
