Travel insurance

I need to book travel insurance for our Feb cruise.  I forgot the name of the site that lets you select what you want, then Gives you a bunch of options.  Can someone remind me of the name of that site?

I don’t know what you’re looking for but I’ve used Allianz for the past 15 years and have always been happy.  I did have to file claims 3 times and reimbursement was quick and easy.

I would strongly urge you to contact a travel insurance broker who can discuss your particular needs/concerns about travel insurance and can help you find the right policy for you.

 

We use www.TripInsuranceStore.com - but CALL them.

But even after many policies and several claims, we still call, to make sure that the terms still fit our specific needs.  This could be especially important for someone not yet familiar with the vagaries of travel insurance.

 

The online summaries simply cannot include *all* of the terms and conditions, but a broker can discuss your travel plans and concerns and also ask some specific questions to help differentiate among several possible choices.

 

There is no extra charge to use a broker.

I just got done with Steve at TripInsuranceStore and it was very informative and shocking what little I knew about travel insurance.

 

I have been cruising for years and the travel insurance was always the last thing to do before making final payment. I thought they were all the same and never questioned the TA regarding the one they wanted to sell me.  After speaking with Steve, what a mistake I have been making all these years.  Luckily we never had any issues and never had to use it, I learned that if I had to file a claim I would have had some real problems collecting. 

Since Covid, a lot has changed in regards to pre existing, look back period etc., that its really important to have a clear understanding of what your needs are for coverage especially if you have had any previous medically issues.
