Coral Princess in the "News"

The media outlet responsible for this article is well known in Australia for sensationalism. Plus they seem to have a grudge against cruise ships, especially Princess ships. Anyone with any sense downunder ignores their gutterpress reporting.

Did the ship sail at full capacity ?

No. Passengers were given an offer to cancel their cruise if they wanted and some did do that. I'm not sure of the exact numbers but I think it was in the range of 1,400-1500.

Apparently one of the media companies tried interviewing some passengers as they disembarked. They were trying get them to say they had a terrible time and the ship was full of Covid. Instead they got reasonably happy passengers (two days extra cruising free!!!!) and no comments about Covid. Apparently it made the media company look a bit stupid. 🤣

We've seen this playbook before.  Reporters find one disgruntled passenger and they put his/her face on the television and the print media runs with the story as well, all without conducting further interviews with other passengers.

I also think that often times it is the disgruntled passenger who contacts the media first.

I'm shocked, shocked I tell you to learn that the media is biased and would try to sensationalize a non event.

"Your winnings sir..."

I think some of the passengers heard that during their two extra days in Coral's casino.😄

They do not say that it is reported that over 100 of the cases are crew who have been isolated. It is news so it can't be biased, just ask them,

Pax (not crew) reporting covid is now is substantially more.
