latebuyer Posted July 28, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2022 Looks like enchantment is no longer going to alaska from vancouver next year. I’m mad as i got a really good deal. They haven’t even notified me i just saw it disappeared when i searched on royal caribbean and its no longer on cruise planner. I assume i’ll get a refund for my refundable deposit but no word. On an unrelated note can you apply an fcc to a cruise that is past final payment?
Sunshine3601 Posted July 28, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2022 may not actually be cancelled, could be Royal's wonderful IT dept. having issues. Are wanting to apply a FCC to get a refund to your credit card for the difference? I don't think that can be done but @Ourusualbeachwill probably know the answer. Rare twangster Posted July 28, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2022 Your cruise will be moved to Brilliance. Good deal should remain intact.
latebuyer Posted July 28, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted July 28, 2022 It looks like quantum of the seas is whats on the website and it seems more expensive. Maybe they’ll add brilliance?
latebuyer Posted July 28, 2022 Author #6 Share Posted July 28, 2022 Sorry i just looked and no replacement ship yet so that would be great if brilliance. Are there solo rooms?
latebuyer Posted July 28, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted July 28, 2022 Sorry for the panic. I phoned and they were able to switch me to brilliance for same price. I’m happy as i was disappointed serenade wasn’t running alaska again and i understand brilliance is a radiance ship too. Is it a nice ship?

Brilliance will be missed in Tampa where she has had a seasonal presence for several years. Serenade and Brilliance are very similar and slightly more updated than the other sisters with things like LED lighting around the ship.
Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted July 29, 2022 #9 Share Posted July 29, 2022 Brilliance is an upgrade from Enchantment, so you extra scored with your good deal! Happy planning!
latebuyer Posted July 29, 2022 Author #10 Share Posted July 29, 2022 Thanks! For those interested in an alaskan cruise, the brilliance sailing seems more competitively priced compared to other cruise lines too. I also got switched to a midship from forward room so i’m very happy.
