Very easy to go to guest services once onboard and put cash on your account.

Rare roxievegas Posted August 3, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 3, 2022 when you gamble on board, you use your medallion to active your account on the machine. You create a pin number and every time you sit at the machine you put in how much you want to gamble on that machine. The money is charged to your room. If you leave that machine, any monies left on the account is put back on your "bank". Go to the next machine and play with the "bank money" your money charged to your cabin can be offset by your OBC. Dont bother putting more OBC on your cabin. Wait until you are on board and then charge everything to cabin.

You don't mean OBC like the Shareholder OBC or Military OBC do you? I was thinking you couldn't use that to gamble.
JF - retired RRT Posted August 3, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 3, 2022 Note: everything (with the exception of the expensive jewelry (I think) goes automagically to your onboard account. Uses non-refundable first. When (if) you run out of non-refundable, it will take your refundable. When (if) you run out of OBC, it will go to your credit card. Cash really isn't required, unless you want to give extra $$ to the crew as tips.

Win some, lose some...we consider it "play" $$ and don't care.

My problem is that the dang machines are mostly incomprehensible to me. They used to be simple but now have 47 different options and are all "weird" to me. I liked the old machines that took quarters and had a max of 3 lines. The old Triple 7 machines. I wander through the casino and look (stupidly) at the machines and wonder where to put my money. Apparently I don't choose wisely as I always end up with far less money than when I started. Fortunately, I only gamble with OBC. Sox Fan Cruiser Posted August 4, 2022 #14 Share Posted August 4, 2022 Back to the original poster... There is no need to put money on your account before you sail. You will give them a credit card before embarkation and anything you charge to your room (casino or otherwise) will be added to your account. At the end of the cruise they will charge your credit card for our account balance.

Oooooo.... showing my age here for sure. That said, a machine that plays BJ or Poker I do understand.

Just mindlessly press the button & it gladly takes your $$$$, & once in a while throws you a bone!

LOL. I was thinking pretty much the same thing. If the fools figured out the house odds on the table games on the ship they might think twice. The slots odds are a little more entangled, but one has to remember that slots were intended (in Nevada) to keep the spouses of gamblers entertained. As such, the casino on as cruise ship has never enticed me, not even the one-armed bandits.
KeepCalmBearOn Posted August 5, 2022 #20 Share Posted August 5, 2022 I'll play a little video poker and a little video blackjack in Las Vegas, but that sucker me in are ones with music I like like The Munsters, I Dream Of Jeanie, The Addams Family and Wheel Of Fortune.
