I'm posting this here in his honor, since so many of us in this forum, and others who have also transited the Canal, have enjoyed and benefited from his masterful "The Path Between the Seas" (not to mention his other magnificent books).   RIP.

Path, truly was the book of record regarding the Canal.  I certainly glad he lent his talents to write such an all encompassing book.  Yes, he will be missed.

He was a phenomenal author and historian.  May he rest in peace.  He made my Canal transit much more informative and special.
