The price for elite for 12 days was $88 if you bought it pre-cruise. It was $120 if you waited until after boarding, so quite a bit more. I chose to buy onboard because I had a large amount of OBC to use up.

My son said it was $50.00 for the first 10 days, purchasing in advance with elite discount. Maybe that is US dollars, I don't care either way, work pays for it.

Was just hoping it was reduced 🥰

Well, that’s gonna be fun on the WC - every 20 or so days, off to Guest Services to have your battery replaced 😆🤣

Will they replace the batteries on the pacemakers too? 😁

True but still I want to get off-line when I can

I am staying off line for my cruise next Tuesday 13 Sept. No E mails, no nothing. That is the way I like it.

My mum won the jackpot bingo on the third cruise.

She was shaking so much when she came back. They gave her a receipt to take to the casino cashier to get the cash.

Congrats...I don't mind a bit of ye olde Bingo on nasty weather sea days...Packing my bingo marker, lol.

Don't blame you young fellow but this old fellow would love to know about all the good times you had on board when you get back. Have a great time 😄

Mmm, $5 a day, I would rather go dark for a break.

We didn't (and won't) bother with internet on the 7-night, 10-night or 14-night cruises we have booked, but I will pay for it on the world cruise. I want to keep in touch with my family as well as be on contact with tour operators I have organised shore tours with.

We have it in the Princess package with the drinks for the next cruise, so I won't be off-line unless I want to be.

Agree the internet will be needed for the World cruise.

So we can keep the family updated

When I looked on-line at various Princess and other sites, the internet prices are quoted in US$. Maybe an indication, but not relevant for us.

I have just had a live chat with Jamie at Princess. The cost per day of the basic internet package is AUD$12.99 per day. He confirmed that there is a 50% discount for Elite members of the Captain's Circle Club. He also said that there is no saving by buying before the cruise. His words were "If you can wait until you board ....". If I pre-buy the internet, the 50% discount will be applied on board as an on-board credit. I don't need this! I already have a lot of OBC and don't want to add to it. Jamie confirmed that if we buy on board, it will be at the same discounted rate - presumably $6.50 per day. This will probably become clearer as cruising continues for a while.

Thank you for the information.

I also do not require any more OBC

Between us we will only be taking one Laptop.

Learning to travel a little lighter

I am presuming that Jamie is better versed than Kylie. Had a chat with Karen yesterday, and she was very helpful.

For the world cruise, I might just use the ship's internet cafe. Maybe more bother, but I will travel much lighter.

Jamie sounded really on the ball. The surprising thing is that I got straight through with absolutely no waiting. Maybe there aren't so many frustrated people trying to figure out how to tame the Medallion - a big like Taming Your Dragon.

Some days are Night Fury, other days are hobgobblers.

I had the usual chat of "why isn't my latest booking being recognised by the medallion app". She cleaned up some double entries of my contact details on their database, and thinks that was part of the problem. I jumped in the queue around 10am, said there were 9 more ahead, then, 8, 7, 5, 8, 9, 7, 5, 9, 11, 12, 10, 9, then connected. Hold on, don't believe the numbers in the red text.

You have to pay for it still, I think you had to buy whole day from memory $27??? But someone else can confirm, possibly someone currently sailing

I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean "buy whole day". I wouldn't be planning to buy a part day. The price I was quoted is $12.99 less 50% discount per day.

Someone told me recently that if you buy the drinks/wifi package you can't use Princess' on-board computers. I couldn't see that this would be true and I didn't think about asking Jamie from Princess about it. What does anyone else know?

That is not my experience on the Coral Princess recently. $88 for 12 days if purchased before the cruise ( for 1 device) versus $120 charged on board, and was told this was 50% off for elite.
