One of our dining room tablemates I think took a Halifax tour that lasted 10+ hours w no meal included was this the same one you were on? She said it was exhausting. We did the Halifax tour along with Peggy's Cove that was really crowded 10-15 buses out there.

Our tour was only about three hours and stopped at three places, The Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Public Gardens, and the Citadel. That was all we needed to see. We've done the Peggy's Cove tour in the past, and though we enjoyed it, it was a one and done.

It was while we were up on the top of the Citadel, that we heard the news about the passing of Queen Elizabeth. Our tour bus now descends from the top of the Citadel and takes us back to the port…..

We enjoyed the tour very much, and at a little over three hours, it was just the right amount of time. The one thing that we didn’t like, was that instead of dropping us off at the Cruise Terminals so that we could hit the shops and the waterfront right away, they took us all the way back to the Carnival Legend.

 

This meant that after getting off the tour bus, we had to go board a shuttle bus to take us back to the Cruise Terminals. That was a waste of a good half hour of our time. This picture was taken after we had gotten off of that school bus looking shuttle bus from the Legend…..

 

 

This is where the shuttle buses dropped you off and picked you up. They ran about every fifteen minutes…..

 

 

 

 

We noticed that the flags had already been lowered to half-mast in honor of the Queen…..

 

 

As we are heading to the waterfront, we pass Cruise Terminals 22 & 21…..

I'm glad you walked.  I once got in trouble for running through the public gardens.  I was staying in a nearby hotel and went out for my run, thought it would a nice view.  Apparently you are not allowed. 
I usually do my cool down walk through there now.  
I am not even a garden person but it is very beautiful in there.

I noticed on the picture of the sign that I posted in post  # 379 that joggers were not allowed. Pretty restrictive if you ask me. 😎

Great review of Halifax. I missed Halifax on my Princess cruise due the weather/winds from Hurricane Fiona. Fiona was going to hit Halifax area the next day. I was disapointed about missing Halifax, I was planning on meeting up with a former crew member from Princess.

Agree that shuttle bus back to the cruise terminal wasted a lot of time. Your winding down to our rainy debarkation day in Baltimore.

 Yep, starting to wind down, but still two more fun days at sea before getting back to Baltimore!

For our late lunch Patti had the fish and chips, and I had a lobster roll and fries…..

 

 

 

After we finished eating, Patti was off to take pictures and check out the shops, while I would remain at the Halifax Pier Pub, and entertain some more Dirty Blondes! Looking down the street, you could see the Carnival Legends whale tail…..

This is the beginning of the Harbourwalk. This is the first time in our many visits to Halifax, that we did not walk its length…..

Amazing weather and the fact you were visiting a place that late Queen Elizabeth likely visited when she passed.  Too bad about the bus dropping you off some where inconvenient.

Patti made her way back to the Halifax Pier Pub, and after having another drink we decided to catch the 4:45 shuttle back to the ship. The line was much, much shorter than before. We hopped on the shuttle with BroadwayGirl and her husband. Once we got back on the ship we stopped and took this picture. It was a pleasure to meet you guys!

 

 

We hung out in the cabin until sail away time, which was 6 pm. Looking from our balcony it was obvious that we would not be sailing on time. No big deal since we have two full days to make it back to Baltimore. It appears that many of the afternoon tours got a late start, as the tour buses began dribbling in…..

 

 

 

 

 

I decided to go up on the open decks, while Patti was content to hang out in the cabin and read. I made my way up to Deck 10. This is the forward Camelot Pool….

I have just enough time to make it down to Mike Delamont’s 7:30 “PG” show. Tonight, he’s doing his show in the Follies Theater…..

 

 

Comedy Show Host “CJ” starts off the fun…..

 

 

Here is Mike Delamont on stage. He’s very funny even doing his “mild” show. I gave him a 9.0 / 10…….

 

 

 

 

 

 

Afterwards, I met Patti at the Deli where we would have a snack. Patti had her favorite turkey wrap, and I had a couple of chili dogs. We then went to the Alchemy Bar to have a nightcap with Omer. I decided to go to the Comedy Showcase in the Follies Theater, while Patti was going to browse the shops and then go back to the cabin.

 

Tonight’s Comedy Showcase started with Kier…..

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next up was Andy Beningo…..

 

 

 

 

I really shouldn’t have bothered going to this show. Kier was pretty funny, but after watching his shows for the last two weeks, I pretty much knew all of his material. As for Andy Beningo, he’s just plain bad! You have been warned!

 

I stopped down at the Casino Bar and had a couple drinks with Angela before heading back to the cabin. Here is tonight’s towel animal, and our VIFP Party invitations…..
