I would be wary of that cabin location due to people dragging chairs on the deck above your heads

Enjoy. At least it's hot and sunny here at home, pleasant. But oh! do I ever miss those people on the ship. I need to book the next trip, to sail before Christmas.

Are you in one of the M6 cabins? We have L107 booked on the Royal for our November and January sailings. From your photos I’m thinking you’ve got one of the cabins on the Marina deck.

 

BTW I’ve booked 2 cruises through LG and I’ve been very happy with the service.

@HaveDogWillTravelWow! Bar Menus! Real actual menus, not just the result of scanning a code which may or may not work!! How exciting! Was it hard to find them? We were on the Emerald in August and real menus were non-existant.

Interesting to see especially there actually is a Vines menu!

The last few ships allowed smoking all the time & even masked, it was bad!

All last week I was searching for a menu such as this, that listed all the spirits available. I couldn't track one down anywhere - never even thought of Vines. I don't drink wine, other than at dinner, so that was the one bar I didn't go to. Now I know!

Sorry for piggy-backing on your'Live'. I'm on board too and checkin around noon was easy - peasy. 

 

I cruised a disappointing short coastal in April so didn't have high expectations for this cruise. I'm happy to say that this appears to be the normal cruising experience we're used to. Activities, entertainment, menus... all up and running. 

 

This is the cruise that we got the notice about filming. Here's what I found in my travels this morning.

Sad to see my favorite Chablis is no longer at Vines.  And my husband's favorite red is no longer covered under Plus pkg.  I guess he can pay the extra $2 or satisfy himself with the petit syrah or malbec.  I doubt we'll go without! 🙂

@KLM3164yes it’s an M6 on marina. It was windy during sail away but after dinner and a show it was not so I laid on the lounger star gazing. The tailwinds continues on this morning and the deck is quite usable. 
@dreaminofcruisin. I simply asked and Rizzi in Vines handed me the menu. I’ll be at more bars today and will be asking for menus. I will let you know if there’s any issue getting them. I know last week on the Ruby Josan in Vines told me he didn’t have a menu. They didn’t even have a QR code on the tables as his inventory was that unreliable.  
 

@CalLuvsCrusingTooive been through the casino several times and would like to play a little roulette. There’s a ton of slots and I mean a ton and very few tables. There are only 2 roulette tables and they are unfortunately right next to the smoking slots.  Smoking is allowed in that area even on formal nights (same on the Ruby last week but the roulette tables were very far from the smoking slots) last night around 8:30 it was too smoky for me to play roulette. I’ll let you know how it goes moving forward.  

the internet is very slow. So loading this thread sucks if y’all keep quoting am]nd reposting all those bar menus lol. 
 

Brought on 8 bottles of nice wine and while not the Riedel Vinum Extremes I did pack on a couple of nice glasses. Although Rizzi in Vines insists that I take a good glass back to my cabin.  
 

I went to the Retreat Bar, Mermaids Tail and the Seaview bar. Yes there’s a menu but I didn’t take a photo as they didn’t have any of the wines on it. I was told they only had Canyon Ranch (all varietals). The cocktails were the normal offerings. 
 

I am sooooo glad I brought on my wine even though I did get the plus package. I’ll be removing plus from all my future sailings as it just doesn’t pencil out. I still get the excursion OBC, shareholders and FCD so I’m set. A coffee card and a few cases of water ordered precruise are way cheaper than plus even with corkage considered. I’d gladly buy their wine if they had any decent dry whites and roses. If you drink reds you’re a bit better off. The Sauvignon blanc under plus at vines is ok but I really cannot drink the same wine for 19 days.

My opinion of this new plus/premier package stuff is that it has put passengers into a 2 class system. Those on the plus are reduced to beggars asking “can I please have a GOOD glass of wine?”  “Can I please have a good wine glass?”  We are sent scurrying around from bar to bar. Deck to deck trying to find a decent not even great glass of wine included in our plus package.

Additionally, those with premiere have to beg/negotiate to get a drink with a higher end version of the alcohol. It really is not a good system as it stands. I'm glad I tried it out once, but certainly wouldn't rush into it again...

Very true. Almost every bar had the Canyon Road chardonnay for $9, but for me it was literally undrinkable. I had to work hard using the app (no luck there), scanning qr codes (the bars didn't always have the wines listed), and asking the bar staff for "anything " better than the Canyon Road. Very disappointing.

That is really not good. Princess needs to step it up if they want to compete. NCL's higher-end package includes BOTTLEs of good wine (including Veuve). We definitely got our money's worth in July! I hope it is just supply chain issues, and that our November and December Princess cruises are worth the upgrade.

Is Johnnie Walker Blue Label included with Princess Premier?  I thought it was only drinks up to $18, but that menu says complementary with Princess Premier.

MEXICO CITY (AP) 9/29/22— Tropical Storm Orlene formed off Mexico’s Pacific coast Thursday and was forecast to strengthen to a hurricane before making a projected landfall early next week.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center said Orlene had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph (75 kmh) and was moving west-northwest at 10 mph (17 kmh). It forecast that Orlene would become a hurricane Friday night.

The storm was centered about 290 miles (465 km) south-southwest of Manzanillo. While still days away, landfall was expected to be in Mexico’s Sinaloa state.
