semlohah Posted September 25, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2022 Arrived at 11:30 to board in Vancouver. The first line separated the VeriFLY from the non- VeriFLY with the VeriFLY line about 10 people. Here is the No VeriFLY line. Then metal dectectors/alcoholic interceptors. Here is the alcohol surrender table/corkage fee area. The employees were confused that we wanted to pay the corkage and not just label the alcohol for post cruise pick up. This is the HAL processing line. Here is HAL pergatory for the early arrives denied boarding. VeriFLY, express lines, and no waiting so entered ship 25 minutes later with no possible way we could have gone faster so celebrated at the Grand Dutch Cafe. Hours later after muster check in, sail away and then after a lovely bottle of wine, I will call it a night. 5
HUNKY Posted September 25, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2022 (edited) I'm onboard the next week. Are masks in the cruise terminal required or suggested? Guess I'll fill out the VeriFLY! Edited September 25, 2022 by HUNKY
Rare VMax1700 Posted September 25, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2022 Enjoy your cruise! Good to see so many wearing masks in Pergatory, only one 'neck breather' visible! 😉
semlohah Posted September 25, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted September 25, 2022 Masks are required in the Vancouver cruise terminal with terminal staff requesting the unmasked to mask up. mask use is better than I expected on board. I don’t have a solid estimate of participation but there are some. I had to get in a packed elevator to accompany my mom who does not do stairs and I was amused by an older man in back who was silently “freaking” out that had no mask so he was making a one out of his hand 🖐. Maybe knuckle hair is a previously unknown filtering agent. I have done CO2 readings and I will do more today posting my feedback. 2
SJSULIBRARIAN Posted September 25, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2022 Any idea why all those in purgatory area were denied boarding? Positive tests?
Rare Clay Clayton Posted September 25, 2022 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2022 The OP says they were early arrivals-wonder if they came well before the boarding time on their boarding passes?

Wondering if we would be better to hang back and board later to avoid some of this craziness? I’m hoping to do Verifly but concerned in that we are doing the Antigen testing option and it appears Verifly won’t accept that🤔
semlohah Posted September 25, 2022 Author #8 Share Posted September 25, 2022 The pergatory people were released in batches so they allowed the 12 noon arrivals to leave right at 12 noon and there was a stampede of 50 people to the gangway. we did antigen on VeriFLY. It is a 48 hour window. I suspected that boarding started at 11am so if your time is before 11am then you are relegated to pergatory until that time.

You are fortunate to get a 10:20 boarding time, have a great cruise. Edited September 25, 2022 by oaktreerb
Rare Clay Clayton Posted September 25, 2022 #10 Share Posted September 25, 2022 Has anyone had any issue with having both passengers on one Verifly account? How bout ArriveCan? I’ve got us set up that way now waiting to complete on Thursday after our tests but it quicker to checkin if we each have our own then I can change it. Certainly in Europe it has been no problem to be on one account. Just swipe across. Same with Navigator and boarding passes. All on one device/account. No experience with ArriveCan.
