Rare KKB Posted November 3, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2022 OK. I am sailing MSC for the first time in Feb. (solo) I have just found a great deal for May--$1250 total for balcony with $500 OBC (also solo). Should I book this now or wait to book while onboard to take advantage of those onboard booking perks? My gut says DO IT NOW as this just seems like a tremendous value & there is no guarantee this offer will last (tho it has continued much longer than I anticipated)
cellfree Posted November 3, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2022 We have never found "booking on board" to be an advantage," and it sounds like the price you see now especially with the $500 OBC makes it a great deal.

Rare KKB Posted November 4, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted November 4, 2022 Boy oh boy I should have learned. Was looking at a Grand Voyage a few weeks ago...sold out b4 I could book. Just as well, had to cancel TA leading into it. Should have booked this one...ALSO GONE. SHEESH
JT1962 Posted November 4, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 4, 2022 I booked a cruise for next year while on board the Divina recently and found the same price on the website once I returned home. There did not seem to be any real advantage to booking on board, other than possibly an additional $ 25 onboard credit I see in the booking. If you see a price that looks good to you, I would recommend booking it now.
sfaaa Posted November 5, 2022 #6 Share Posted November 5, 2022 MSC used to give $50 OBC to book on board. Is this no longer the case?
gmbhardy Posted November 6, 2022 #7 Share Posted November 6, 2022 Every time we book on board (YC) we receive $200 in OBC.

Did you get $200 pp or $200 per YC cabin when you booked onboard? (I have my YC booking on hold for a week so I won't lose it.)
