Cheerysmom Posted November 11, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) I have 3 small children and would like 2 connecting cabins on the Anthem. Are these cabins truly connected with a door inside each cabin or are they just next to each other? I would love to see a picture if anyone has one ... with the connecting door open. Looking at Deck 10 category 2D/1D. Thanks. Edited November 11, 2022 by Cheerysmom syntax

Looking at Deck 10 category 2D/1D. Thanks. If you look at the deck plans, the cabins that are connected with an internal door have a double-sided arrow between them. 10544 and 10546 are a connecting pair with 10546 having a sofabed that sleeps two. The sofabed can be setup at two different levels as part of it is like a trundle that gets pulled out.
LuCruise Posted November 11, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) We had connecting balcony rooms on Anthem. If it's connecting, then there is a door inside the rooms. This is the best picture that I have (sorry, door is closed but it gives you an idea). The white door on the left is the connecting door to the other stateroom. If it's a balcony room, you can also open the barrier on the balcony as shown here. Edited November 11, 2022 by LuCruise

robtulipe Posted November 11, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) Below is a shot of an open connecting door between two Anthem's balcony cabins. It is just inside from the entrance door from the corridor thus is in between the bathrooms. Edited November 11, 2022 by robtulipe
Jasukkie Posted November 11, 2022 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2022 I've stayed in connecting balcony cabins on Anthem and it worked well. It's nice to be able to open the balcony. As others have shown, the door between is right inside the doorway. It doesn't have any effect on the room really.
The Fun Researcher Posted November 11, 2022 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2022 Two full bathrooms for a family of five is awfully nice. We also have a family of five and have always had connecting rooms on our cruises. It works out great. having that open doorway between the two cabins makes the whole space seem larger Dan

Cheerysmom Posted November 11, 2022 Author #9 Share Posted November 11, 2022 Thanks very much for your answers and pictures. I feel better about booking these adjoining rooms.
The Fun Researcher Posted November 12, 2022 #10 Share Posted November 12, 2022 Just be aware adjoining rooms are rooms next to each other, but not necessary connecting. If you want that door inside between rooms they need to be connecting Dan

You are probably thinking of adjacent, which mean lying next to each other.

However, if the OP wants to have an interior connecting door between rooms they need to choose a connecting room. That’s what I was trying to say but didn’t do it accurately.
