Forward Obstructed Staterooms

Looking to book a cruise on Sky and considering an obstructed stateroom at the front of the ship (E104) as its a deluxe balcony with a larger balcony. The only obstruction that I can see is that the balcony has a metal front.

Does anybody who has experience of these type of staterooms say what they are like as regards motion

This would be at the very front of the ship and it is a bit more closed in than the others after you. the metal wall is curved. You can search "images" online for pics of the Sky Princess and get a better look. The thing about the metal railing is not being able to see when sitting down on your balcony.

Have been in those forward Emerald Deck Deluxe Balcony cabins many times - we aim for 109 or 110 as often as we can as the balconies are huge!! And the only "issue" is the metal railing. No issues with motion for us - we've done two TAs, one NY to Caribbean and several Caribbean sailings in those forward cabins

Only issue is occasional noise from anchor being lowered. Not enough to stop us enjoying them.

We've hosted UBD for 8 on E110 - that's how big it is! Lol. 104 isn't that large, but it's much larger than standard, easily enough room to stretch out.

Here's a video from Regal.. Sky will be exactly the same, just a little different color scheme inside. You can get a good idea of balcony size around 3:10 onwards..

Thank you for all the information, I'm ok with the metal balcony front, it's really the motion side of things and possibly noise from the Theatre below

Motion has been a non-issue on any of our cruises in those forward cabins. And nothing from the theater, you're not actually above any of the active theater areas, you're forward of those.
