Does the manatee tour include kayak rentals? Are the kayak rentals an all day thing or is it for an hour or two?

There are limited umbrellas on the beach and they go first. I see they still have clam shells, I assume there is still a charge for them? Rare BirdTravels Posted December 7, 2022 Author #120 Share Posted December 7, 2022 (edited) At the moment, they released the dock personnel. But The Bird just watched a wave break onto the dock at the gangway. Update: they have decided to stay and started to deploy Shore equipment. And the shore excursion credit does not apply at Harvest Caye. The Bird was at Harvest Caye in August on the Breakaway. Almost every clamshell on the “main” beach was rented since the umbrellas went fast and it was blistering hot. But The Bird just watched a wave break onto the dock at the gangway. The junior security person’s responsibility is to watch the waves and tell passengers when it is safe to run down the wet and slippery gangway. If he guess wrong, he is suppose to throw his body between the wave and the passenger. He was wrong sometimes and his small body did not work as a wave break. Like the Galaxy Pavillon, you need to test your reflexes to avoid flying objects and getting drenched. Also a balance test as the ship is constantly moving on her mooring lines. Hard to see, but the azipods and bow thrusters are working hard to try and keep the ship against the dock. The Captain is trying to avoid a repeat of the Norwegian Star incident in 2012 when she broke her mooring lines in the wind and hit a RCL ship. Very stiff wind pushing the ship off the dock.
