What Entertainment is on this week’s cruise???  
 

Note: embarkation started around 11:15. By 11:45 all of the comedy shows in the 50 seat Improve we’re sold out. Unfortunately not all of the show times were available on the App.

@BirdTravelsBeen following your cruise adventures & reading up on Haven advice...sir, thank you for all your helpful information! Me & my family will be on the 4/9 Prima in the Haven 2 bdrm Family suite. Any notions on who the Haven crew are on your sailing? And if any other crew (ie: Adi from the Encore-fav bartender) is on this sailing. I've read there is a great Vibe crew on the Prima!

Excited to read another Bird review as I also will be jumping on the Prima next Sunday.  If possible, can you see if the mini golf is up and functioning with a charge or is it still complimentary?

Hello Bird, happy to see you are on Prima this week. Hope you have a great trip.

 

Looks like they fixed the pizza. When I sailed on Prima in October, the crust was a little too thick. 

 

Did you happen to notice if any of the pools in the thermal suite have bubbles? The crew member who gave us a tour of the area told us that those pools aren't supposed to have bubbles, but I heard through the grapevine that they might have the bubbles working some time while the ship is in Miami.

Thanks for posting the pictures of the senior officers. I am always interested in seeing who is in charge, and I recognize several of them from our previous cruises. Special congratulations to Captain Kevin, after sailing with him many times as Staff Captain.

No bubbles 😞 

 

Buffet dinner had thin pizza. Lunch was still thick. 

 

And they have discontinued the late buffet. So it closes at 9:30 after which you need to go to The Local (until 3:30 am).

Need some relaxation?  Get a Thermal Suite pass for the week. Warm saunas, hot steam room (best in the fleet), rejuvenating salt bath, snow room, and hot stone loungers.

Most of the senior staff that were on in October are no longer onboard. Their contract (or lack of contract) determines if they will return.

Opening staff is probably on vacation.  For most they are on board 4 months and off for 2 months.

One favor: Can you please give some detail shots of the pickleball court. I've seen video quick walk bys but nobody actually stepping up to or inside the court and showing the ceiling height and how much space is on the sidelines. It looks like a cage match Thunderdome!

 Hey Bird, loving your review so far!  What is the cost of the Thermal Suite pass for the week.  I am thinking of upgrading to a Spa Balcony and want to compare. Are men and women able to use the same area?

That was my experience as well. Never before on an NCL sailing have I not been able to book the entertainment using the form. Thankfully, at last the comedians will have three shows in the theater (no reservations needed).

 

As for the shows, well, it might say sold out but it isn't really. There were unclaimed seats at the shows I saw.

 

Hopefully on the later Leonardo class ships, the venue size increases a bit.

NCL did not plan on a dedicated Entourage facility on Prima class ships. So, the teens have a space in the splash Academy and take over other venues for activities. 

 

Thank you for posting this!! I was considering the Prima for an upcoming cruise but didn't look at the deck plans closely enough to see there's no Entourage. Back to looking at Breakaway Plus itineraries, lol! Prima will be off our family's list for a few more years.
