No additional perks. Oh as you’re coming from an inside there is a significant perk - daylight.
And a possible downside if you’re on deck 8 noise from above

All the details are on Azamara website or to check the noise issue the Cabin thread on this page might help you

The Azamara site says the square footage is the same; however, we had OV 6041 last week. There was no sitting area except for vanity chair.

Oceania has reclassified those obstructed-view [and sideways] cabins as Singles.  This is going over very well.  They are smaller than any other cabins, but still big enough for one person.  And this means that every cruise on their R-ships has no-single-supplement cabins available.  Maybe Azamara should do likewise.

What a great idea!  I spent a few nights in one some years ago. Perfectly comfortable to sleep in, but I would not have liked sharing that cabin even with my husband.

There is another downside that nobody has mentioned:  if this is your first balcony cabin, there's no going back!  Maybe some noise from above will save you tons of money down the road...  🤣

So true but sometimes just have to go with what works. Last five Azamara cruises - Balcony, Balcony, Continent Suite, Continent Suite, Balcony. Next cruise on Journey is Inside 😂. Solo traveller so its what works deal wise.x Still get the great Azamara experience whatever cabin I sleep in. 😘

We go between balcony and Oceanview - it depends on price & availability. We do love the 4 large Oceanview cabins at the front of decks 6 & 7.

Aren’t there some on deck 4 too, that are closer to midship?

No, Deck 4 OV are the standard size, and with porthole IIRC.  The four forward OV are much larger as the “balcony” space is part of the cabin.

All the OVs on deck 4 have windows. Potholes are on deck 3. These used to be guest cabins, but are now for crew and guest entertainers.  The larger OVs category 04 are forward on either deck 6 or 7.

The 4 large OVs have large round windows.
