Are you referring to the moderators? They are strictly volunteers......no $ compensation.

Second, however, do the CC Hosts get non-$ compensation such as discounts offered to travel agents?

Gentlemen hosts.......that what I thought by thread title.   Not sure about today.  A few years ago they go thru an agency and were paying about $35/day with full guest privileges.   I'd rather pay an extra $1,000 and enjoy freedom.  

 

Quite a few years ago, Wind had one host that I think never interacted with anyone.   Tossed off in Cape Town.

No discounts to hosts, moderators or even employees.

An old friend of mine who was a doorman at the Savoy and then the Dorchester was a Gentleman Host who worked for Silversea.

Ted Whitcombe was his name and he was a great dancer but an even better doorman.

Very professional.

Yes he was even though I ended up the subject of a lot of his jokes. We had tickets to his show in Newcastle Australia. Unfortunately at the last moment I had to be on call for the hospital. And the only time I got a call ever when out was just before Dick started his show. We were in the front row so it was obvious when I returned. But I did laugh.
